The Shining Star Above The Heaven

Chapter 1163 - 1163: What Happened to Earth

Chapter 1163 - 1163: What Happened to Earth

General Ruan wondered why Aldrian asked what year it was on Earth, but she still answered him."It's 2303."

Aldrian and Sylphia nodded inwardly. They finally knew how much time had passed since their past life on Earth.

In that life, Aldrian had lived until 2038, while Sylphia had lived until 2039. That meant almost three hundred years had passed since their lives on Earth ended.

This astonished them. In just two centuries, Earth had changed to this extent. The pace of change was truly fast.

Aldrian thought that the surge of heaven and earth energy had greatly accelerated Earth's growth, along with its civilization.

"Sir, have you ever visited Earth especially China? You speak Chinese very well," General Ruan asked.

Aldrian smiled. "Well, I did visit Earth a long time ago, so I know a bit about it."

General Ruan raised her eyebrows and nodded. "I see, so that is the case." But then her expression turned confused.

"You said that you came from a place called the Inner Realm. I heard that it is somewhere beyond our reach in our lifetime. How did you reach this place? Could you tell me what kind of place that is?"

"Before I answer that… where did you hear that name? To be honest, I'm quite surprised that you've heard of it," Aldrian said.

"Well, we heard it from the otherworlders who visited Earth. They said that there is a place called the Inner Realm, where beings of far greater strength reside. A place that those who seek power and wish to reach higher realms dream of stepping into."

"But they said that place is unreachable because of some kind of barrier that prevents them from entering. Every effort they made to reach it always ended in failure. This has already become an open secret among many top-level hunters in our world."

"Although I have never visited the barrier personally, we have confirmed its existence. A few of our people visited it in the past with the guidance of otherworlders."

Aldrian nodded in understanding. "I see." Then he smiled. "To think that humans here could visit a barrier that lies tens of billions of light years away. Truly a significant achievement, and a remarkable leap in both technology and power."

General Ruan smiled. "Well, thanks to the gates appearance, waves of heaven and earth energy have covered Earth. The surge of this energy, along with the many resources that came through the gates, allowed us humans to do things that were far beyond our means in the past."

"Combined with the technology we obtained from the otherworlders, our civilization has advanced faster than ever. We have already reached an interstellar level. We can even travel distances we once thought impossible, such as reaching places billions of light years away."

Aldrian did not understand some of the terms, but he could roughly grasp their meaning. The "gates" most likely referred to spatial connections to other places, such as different worlds or realms, while "otherworlders" likely referred to the various races scattered across the Outer Realm.

He came to that conclusion because he knew the condition of Earth at this moment. He could sense many spatial connections linking it to various places across the Outer Realm. These connections were the gates, pathways that connected Earth to other worlds or even hidden realms.

In the Outer Realm, there were countless worlds filled with civilizations of various races, along with hidden realms. Some of these gates connected directly to them, making interaction between different races possible.

Unfortunately, those spatial connections also led to places where devil cultivators, or beings affected by thick devil energy, resided.

He guessed that was why he could sense devil auras in various places across Earth.

"How I reached Earth, I can't tell you. But the Inner Realm is just as you described. It is a place where individuals of far greater power live. A place completely different from here."

Although she did not receive a complete answer, General Ruan's eyes shimmered upon hearing that. It was as if her gaze held a deep desire to visit such a place.

"Anyway, I want to know what really happened to Earth over the past two hundred years. Seeing how drastically it has changed, I can't help but feel amazed. The transformation is too great for just over two centuries," Aldrian said.

General Ruan immediately caught the detail in his words. That meant this man had last visited Earth more than two hundred years ago.

Most likely, his last visit was before the day that changed Earth's future.

Of course he would be surprised by the changes over the past two centuries.

"Well, like I said, all these drastic changes began with the opening of the gates. But the day those gates opened was a nightmare for every living being on Earth. It was as if the world had fallen into an apocalypse."

"Terrifying monsters poured out from gates that suddenly appeared across the world. Tens of millions of people died on the first day. At first, the monsters could still be handled with conventional weapons. But as time passed, they grew stronger, and the situation worsened to the point where only nuclear weapons could kill them."

"Many believed that humanity would reach its end. But fortunately, some people were able to use heaven and earth energy to strengthen themselves. They could fight far more powerful beasts, and thanks to them, humanity gained another way to resist the invasion."

General Ruan let out a sigh.

"As time passed, we finally managed to push the monsters back to the gates. Since that day, people began to adapt to a new way of life. A life where they had to live side by side with the gates. We also came to realize that we are not alone in this universe, as we finally interacted with various races from other worlds. They are what we call otherworlders."

"With the surge of heaven and earth energy, our connections with other races, and the newfound resources we discovered, we were able to build something like this and much more. Over these past centuries, there were several times when we faced dangers that could have ended our race. But we endured, and each time, we came back stronger."

"From the time when we lost more than half of our population, to now, when our population has increased twofold compared to even before the gates appeared, all of this happened within just two centuries."

General Ruan then smiled. "That is what happened, sir. If you wish to know more details, you can read the history of our world, which has been documented in many of our books. I will bring them to you and your wives later if you want."

Aldrian nodded. "Thank you."

Then he remembered something and continued, "Oh, could you also bring a dictionary of Earth's languages? I want my wives to learn the language of this world. And if possible, include some tutorial videos."

General Ruan was stunned, but she nodded. "That's easy. I will have someone send them to your wives, sir."

Not long after, they arrived at the military base where General Ruan and the five SS-rank hunters had held their meeting earlier. Aldrian and his wives could sense everything and everyone within the area.

All of the soldiers here ranged from disciple stage to earl stage. For a place like this, that was already quite impressive.

The moment they stepped out of the car, the soldiers who saw them were stunned.

The beauty of Aldrian and his wives made their hearts skip a beat, regardless of gender.

It was their first time seeing them, and for the six most powerful hunters of the Second Sky Garden's troops to personally escort them showed that these people were far from ordinary.

Moreover, they seemed to be otherworlders, with an elf among them. They had never seen otherworlders brought into a military base with such treatment.

Usually, if otherworlders entered this place, it meant they had made a mistake. The treatment they received would be no different from that of prisoners.

But these people were treated like the most honored guests.

Even when a country's president had visited in the past, they had never received this level of treatment.

After entering the building, Aldrian and his wives were guided to a special room where they would register themselves and create their own IDs.

Inside the room, they provided their identities and were scanned in detail. They simply stood inside a tube, and the device operated on its own. Everything that could be used as data was recorded. Their body measurements, retinal patterns, fingerprints, and more.

But a problem soon appeared when the device attempted to scan their power levels. It could not determine their rank. Every attempt ended in an error.

This made General Ruan and the SS-rank hunters' hearts tremble. Aldrian had said that he and his wives did not use any device to conceal their power.

Now, even with direct scanning using the military's equipment, their power still could not be detected. This only strengthened their belief that they had truly come from that mysterious place.

Earlier, General Ruan and the SS-rank hunters still held some doubt about whether Aldrian and his wives had really come from the Inner Realm.

But with this repeated result, their belief that Aldrian and his wives came from that place grew stronger.

However, Aldrian could tell that a trace of doubt still remained. So he offered them a direct way to judge his strength.

"Do you want to feel our aura?"
