Chapter 1164 - 1164: Terrifying
Chapter 1164 - 1164: Terrifying
"Do you want to feel our aura?" Aldrian asked.General Ruan raised her eyebrows. The others who watched the process fell into brief silence. Every one of them felt the same curiosity. They wanted to experience a glimpse of power from these people who most likely came from the inner realm.
Especially the man with the bulky build. He was the type who enjoyed battle and craved overwhelming strength.
"That is the best way for you to evaluate us. If we go any further than that, things may spiral out of control, as our power is something that could destroy the earth with ease," Aldrian said.
His words stunned them.
Destroy the earth with ease?
What kind of power could destroy an entire planet?
From the apocalypse era until now, no being had ever reached such a level. If something like that had existed in the past, humanity would not have survived to this day.
This was the first time they heard someone speak of such power with absolute certainty.
'What is he?' General Ruan thought.
Even so, her curiosity only deepened. She wanted to feel it for herself. She wanted to witness it directly.
In her mind, Aldrian and his wives no longer needed to prove anything. She already believed in their origin and strength for the most part, with only a trace of doubt remaining.
She still wanted confirmation through her own senses.
She wanted to feel it.
She wanted to see it.
In the end, she nodded.
"Alright. Please show us your aura."
Aldrian then turned toward Sylphia and smiled. "You first, dear. Do not show your entire aura's force. Just a small part is enough."
For the first time, the others heard him speak in the language he used in the inner realm. They were quite surprised that he used the same language as some of the otherworlders.
Not all otherworlders spoke this language, but some of the well-known races used it. General Ruan and the SS-rank hunters could understand it after all these years, so they knew what Aldrian said.
They quickly set aside the matter of language and focused on Sylphia.
She finally released her aura.
The moment her aura appeared, General Ruan and the others felt their hearts turn cold. An overwhelming pressure descended upon their body and soul from Sylphia's direction.
It was as if something deep within their very being was forcing them to kneel.
To submit.
To worship.
The entire room began to tremble, and everyone nearby dropped to their knees.
Sylphia immediately withdrew her aura when she saw their reaction and the effect on the surroundings. Just as Aldrian had instructed, she did not release in full force. She understood clearly that, as an emperor stage cultivator, her aura alone could kill many people here and destroy this place.
What she revealed was only a fraction of it.
Once the pressure vanished, General Ruan and the others were finally able to breathe again. They gasped for air, their bodies drenched in cold sweat.
General Ruan's eyes trembled as she looked at Sylphia.
'Terrifying… truly terrifying. I have never felt something like that before.'
In all her life, after experiencing countless battles against monsters and even otherworlders, she had never felt an aura like this. It carried such overwhelming despair that, for a moment, she felt as if death was already upon her.
Even when she faced enemies far stronger than her in the past, she had never felt this kind of despair. There was fear, yes, but not this.
Not this absolute certainty that she could not win.
That she would never win.
But just now, she felt it clearly. She was horrified. She felt true despair.
The moment that pressure descended, it was as if they stood before an absolute being.
A being that demanded worship.
And that was not even the full extent of her aura.
Then how powerful would it be if she released everything?
Would it not be enough to destroy this place and kill everyone here with aura alone?
Seeing their reaction, Aldrian felt that it might have been too much for them. All of his wives were already emperor stage cultivators, and he doubted these people had ever even sensed someone's aura at grand duke stage, let alone emperor stage.
Moreover, these people were much weaker than the cultivators of the inner realm, which made them far more susceptible to Sylphia's aura.
"Do you want to continue to feel our aura?" he asked.
General Ruan immediately waved her hand repeatedly.
"No need, no need, Sir Aldrian. We will prepare the IDs for you and your wives. Please wait in the room we have provided while we process them. I will also send you the history of our world over the past two centuries, along with the language dictionary and the tutorial video you requested."
Aldrian smiled and nodded.
"Thank you, General."
Aldrian and his wives were then guided out of the scanning room to the waiting room, while General Ruan and the others remained behind.
After making sure that Aldrian and his wives had already left, she and the SS-rank hunters looked at each other and let out a long sigh.
"Truly terrifying. If that was only a glimpse of her aura, then how strong would she be if she unleashed her full power? I cannot even imagine it. Maybe, just as he said, their power could destroy the earth," the man with the spear said.
"What level have they reached? Is that woman, Sylphia, the strongest among them or not? If not, then how powerful are the others? Are people like them common in the inner realm? If so, then that place is truly terrifying. We would be no different from ants there," the old man said in a defeated tone.
"What SS-rank? What SSS-rank? What is this ranking system even worth in front of that kind of power? We are nothing," the man with the bulky build said with a bitter smile. "After reaching SS-rank, I thought I had stepped into a level where I no longer needed to worry about anything other than invasions from other worlds. I was satisfied with my achievements. Now, it just feels ridiculous."
"Fortunately, they came with good intentions. Otherwise, I cannot imagine what kind of disaster the earth would face. It will be even worse than the apocalypse era," the woman in the red qipao said.
"General, this is something headquarters must know immediately and treat as a top priority. With beings capable of destroying an entire planet roaming the earth, we need to make sure no problems arise while they are here," the man with glasses said in a serious tone.
General Ruan nodded solemnly. "I agree. I will inform headquarters and make sure this matter is treated with the highest priority."
Then she sighed.
"I just hope those guilds and politicians do not do anything stupid. They are what worry me the most."
The others understood her concern, and they felt the same.
All they could do was hope that headquarters would handle this properly.

In another room, Aldrian and his wives were already being served snacks and drinks. They were also given physical books containing the earth's history since the appearance of the gates.
Baek Jimin and Angelica were each given a smart device in the form of a bracelet. It contained the world's language system along with tutorials on how to speak it. With just a few taps, they could access everything they needed in the form of digital books and holographic videos.
They found this technology quite intriguing. In their eyes, it was somewhat inefficient, yet unique.
In their world, they could simply use information crystals and share knowledge directly through their minds. It was far faster and more secure.
While his wives were occupied with their own activities, Aldrian read through the history book. After finishing it, he finally understood the current situation of earth in greater detail.
The day the gates first appeared, known as the Day of the Apocalypse's Descent, occurred in the year 2040. Monsters poured out from the gates and began attacking the earth.
The ten-year war that followed between humanity and the monsters became known as the Apocalypse Era, during which humanity continued to lose ground.
But thanks to the eleven heroes of humanity, they were finally able to push back the monsters. With their rise, a new era began, the era of hunters. From that point on, humanity could stand on equal footing with the monsters and gradually drive them back toward the gates.
After reclaiming the earth, humanity continued to grow stronger. Gates connecting them to other worlds, inhabited by different races, began to appear more frequently.
Only then did they realize that other civilizations existed in the universe. They called them otherworlders and began to build relationships with them.
However, not all otherworlders came with good intentions. There were several occasions in the past when they invaded the earth instead.
In fact, there had been times when far stronger monsters and otherworlders attacked the earth, placing humanity in grave danger. Yet each time, humanity managed to defend its homeland.
Aldrian found himself admiring the people of this world. Their persistence and spirit had shaped the earth into what it was today.
However, he suddenly thought of Zhang Haoran, Tarius' apostle.
He remembered the year Zhang Haoran was almost executed by a mafia group. It was the same year the gates first appeared.
'I see. So he was accidentally swallowed by a gate… what a luck.'
