Chapter 203 - 64 – Sebastian Fleur
Chapter 203 - 64 – Sebastian Fleur
Sarah sat down to breathe and drink a mana potion. She just leveled up again. She took another level in Warrior. Since her objective was to take the Bard class, she needed level 10 in Warrior, Mage, Scout and Healer. She took a look at her stats."Sarah Lordstone – Level 15

"Leveled up?" Sebastian asked her.
"Yeah." She said. "15 now."
"That’s impressive." He complimented her and sat beside her on the dungeon floor.
"My unique skill really helps." She smiled.
"Your brother is coming back to the school, isn’t he?" Sebastian tried to keep the conversation going.
"Yeah. I think he renewed his ID today, he was going to get fitted for a new uniform."
"What’s his level?" Sebastian was curious.
"39, I think." Sarah scratched her head, unsure.
"39?!" Sebastian exclaimed. "How old is he?"
"20. Almost 21." She replied.
"Wait. If he reaches level 40 before 21, won’t he be the youngest person to reach that level?" He asked, almost shouting.
"The Northern Star reached level 40 when she was 21. Valerie Vigridsdottir, right?" Sarah pondered.
"Yeah." Sebastian said, taking out his phone and pulling up a picture of hers.
A tall and slim woman, with long black hair and bright green eyes. She wore a heavy suit of silver armor made of mithril that still showed her toned arms and midriff. She wielded a large bladed halberd in her hand and had a pair of small axes on her wait. Covering her back, a brown fur cloak protected her from the cold. The picture was taken in the far north where her guild mostly fought against the Ice Trolls that conquered most of the north pole.
Sarah spent a few seconds analyzing the image and then said:
"You must really like her. You have her picture saved in your phone." She teased him.
"No! No!" The 18 year old boy blushed. "It’s not like that. I have pictures of all the adventurers I admire! Look!" He said passing through the pictures to show her various adventurers he had saved in his phone.
His face went completely red when she made him stop in one picture. It was a picture of hers on the beach. One that she modeled for a magazine to showcase a revealing V shaped light blue bikini.
"Adventurers that you admire?" She smiled teasing him.
"I-I..." Sebastian couldn’t find the words.
Sarah laughed and patted his head. Then she got up.
"It’s ok. I take those pictures to be looked at." She tried to calm him down. "But just look, ok?" She winked at him and walked away as if she was on top of a fashion runway.
Sebastian was flabbergasted with his mouth open on the floor. His eyes couldn’t leave her figure and her hypnotizing walk.
He took a look at his own stats.
"Sebastian Fleur – Level 6
Warrior (T1) – Level 4
Mage (T1) – Level 2
Stats
HP = 12 / VIT = 8
MP = 4 / MAG = 6
STR = 12 / AGI = 12

He needed to focus on leveling up if he was to have any chance with Sarah, he thought.
Sebastian got up in a jump and rushed further in the dungeon, avid on leveling up.
He stayed longer in the dungeon than he had planned. He got carried away because of Sarah. When he arrived home, it was already dark.
His blood froze when he opened the door. Sitting on his couch and talking with his father, there was a man who he only saw once, but whose presence marked his memory.
It was Matthew, sitting beside a beautiful silver haired elf who he recognized as Faralynn Laufgraan, the heiress of the Laufgrann school.
Why were they there? Did Matthew come to make him stay away from Sarah? Did Sarah complain about him having a picture of hers saved in his phone? It seemed she was ok with it. Did Matthew find out and come to intimidate him?
With his mouth agape, he was frozen holding the handle of the front door of his family’s apartment.
"Aren’t you coming in, son?"
It’s only then that he noticed his father sitting across from the couple with a cup of coffee in his hand.
"Close the door and come in." His father said.
"Hi... Hello!" He quickly tried to compose himself.
"Go take a shower and prepare dinner." His father ordered. "Will you be eating with us?" He asked Matthew and Fralynn.
"Not today, sir. We just came to see how Marcus was." Matthew said with a smile.
"Marcus?" Sebastian asked, confused.
"Yes. They came to talk a bit with your brother. They were also there, in Saint Helen that day." Sebastian’s father’s tone was somber.
"They were?" Sebastian didn’t know what to think.
Matthew got up from the couch and extended his hand to Sebastian.
"Nice to see you again." Matthew said when the boy shook his hand limply. "Sebastian is in the same class as my sister." Matthew explained to the father.
"I see. Who’s your sister?"
"Sarah. Sarah Lordstone." Matthew smiled.
"Oh! Sarah is your sister? That explains why Sebastian is so nervous." He laughed. "He has a huge crush on her! Did you know his computer’s background is a picture of hers?"
"Really?" Matthew squeezed Sebastian’s hand. "That’s funny." He pretended to laugh.
"Sebastian started to adventure because of his brother. But now it seems he’s more interested in your sister." His father laughed again.
"You don’t say?" Matthew squeezed his hand harder, making the boy sweat.
"It’s enough, Tif." Faralynn gently pried Matthew’s hand off Sebastian’s, using an elven term of endearment. "We should go now."
"You’re right." Matthew let go, still forcing a smile.
They soon said their goodbyes and left the family alone to dine in peace.
"Why were they here?" Sebastian asked his father.
"To talk with your brother." He answered while picking the coffee mugs and taking them to the kitchen.
"I know. But I meant why now?" Sebastian followed his father into the kitchen.
"Father Oluwafemi asked them to come talk with Marcus now that he’s living in Abule."
"But why didn’t they come earlier?" Sebastian looked at the door of his brother’s room that had a cross hanging from it.
"Wha you mean earlier?"
"I mean, years ago." Sebastian protested.
His father laughed.
"Do you think your brother was the only one traumatized? They were also survivors, Sebas. I’m sure they had a lot on their plate as well."
Sebastian sighed and took off his adventurer gear.
"Do you think Marcus will be like them some day? I mean. Normal."
"I don’t know, Sebas. But I heard him laughing today when they were here." His father smiled with tears in his eyes.
"He laughed?" Sebastian asked with tears in his eyes as well.
His father smiled at him.
Sebastian showered with a warm feeling in him. Preparing dinner for the three of them suddenly didn’t feel like a chore.
When Marcus came out of his room to eat, somehow it seemed things weren’t weighing as much on his back. He held his head up.
Marcus sat down to eat, but this time he looked his family in the eyes as he did long ago.
"Did you know?" He said suddenly. "That there’s a forest of black trees in hell made by the souls of those who committed suicide?"
"Really?" His father engaged in conversation, even though morbid as it was.
"Matthew told me. He was there, you know? Fighting demons and demonic creatures." He said with admiration.
"For 2 years." Sebastian said. "Sarah, his sister, told me."
"Yes! And you saw how strong he is? Did you know he’s level 39 already?!" Marcus said excitedly, making his father hold in tears. He hasn’t heard that tone coming from his son since that damned day.
"Sarah told me that too." Sebastian said with a smile on his face.
Marcus then let his cutlery on the table and looked at the ceiling.
"He was in heaven too." The 14 year old boy said.
"In heaven?" Their father asked incredulously.
"With angels and everything." Marcus nodded. "He saw his grandmother there."
A moment of silence took over the apartment.
"Do you think mother is there? He said they can watch us from up there." Marcus said, crying.
"Of course she is!" Sebastian said, also crying.
"You think she’s watching me?" Marcus asked, now looking at both of them.
His father almost ran up his chair to hug him.
"She is. She’s watching us." He cried with his son.
Sebastian hugged both of them.
"She’s watching us." Marcus repeated crying loudly.
