"No one will treat you as mute if you don’t speak!" Bai Qingshi warned her in a low voice. It wasn’t that they didn’t know that they needed to leave a few supplies for Bai Feng. It was just that they didn’t want to and deliberately pretended to be stupid.
The supplies were less, to begin with; if they left some for Bai Feng, what would happen to them? So they snatched all the supplies and decided to fill their stomachs first.
By the time they felt full, more than half of the supplies were gone and they were greedy to save the rest.

Bai Qingshi glared at her but did not say anything to stop her. He too thought the same. Bai Feng was so strong; what was the point of being so strong and able-bodied if he could not even stay hungry for a few days? It was not as if he was going to die.
Bai Feng, who was lying on his bed, could hear everything. He raised his arm and covered his eyes with it. He wondered if this was really the happy and warm family that he was supposed to protect.
He had only closed his eyes for a few minutes but then he was woken up by Bai Xue’s scream.
