Chapter 150: Asking for mercy

When Meng Suisui and the rest heard her answer, they heaved a sigh of relief. They were not afraid of hard work; instead, what they feared was there would be no work for them to do.

Bai Meiyue looked at the small group in front of her and was quite impressed. Compared to Xiang Mei and the rest, Meng Suisui and these people were much smarter. Instead of relying on others, they wanted to rely on themselves from the start.

This was a smart move. After all, relying on others would create a feeling and habit of dependence, which would only lead to trouble in the future. But if they earned and took risks for supplies from the start, then these people could survive for a long time.

"What do these people want from you?" Bai Feng tipped his chin at Meng Suisui and the rest. His eyes flashed with murderous intent when he saw the small group. Bai Feng had a very good memory and even though there were a lot of survivors, he still remembered these people.

Clearly, they came here with Xiang Mei and the rest, yet they came looking for Bai Meiyue. He thought that these people didn’t find any supplies in his penthouse and came here to beg Bai Meiyue for some.

However, he only took two steps before pausing and turning to look at Bai Meiyue, who arched a brow.

"What?"

"Yueyue... When I return Dad and the rest, they will be fine, right?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Bai Meiyue blinked her eyes and burst out laughing. She wondered why this man had come looking for her; so this was the reason. But it seemed like he was worried that if he was to leave, Bai Meiyue would rush out and kill the Bai family.

And he was right.

Bai Meiyue did have the plan to kill them once she heard that Bai Feng was leaving.

Who would have thought that Bai Feng, despite pretending that everything was fine, actually saw things much more thoroughly than Bai Qingshi?

When he saw that Bai Meiyue was not speaking, Bai Feng panicked and said to her, "Yueyue, I know that you are angry and disappointed with the things that our father has done but he has been very kind to me. Even when my mother went to blackmail him and threatened him, he took me in and gave me everything that my mother didn’t. He gave me a name, stopped others from calling me a bastard and put a halt to the bullying I had to face as a child."

"I know that he was never a father to you but he was one to me. So before you raise your hand on him, can you think of me? I don’t want the two of us to become enemies, Yueyue."

Bai Meiyue’s jaw moved and she clenched her teeth with hatred. She looked at Bai Feng and questioned, "Do you really want it to be like this?"
