"We have like eighty people waiting to be fed," Su Hu spread his hands in front of Bai Xue and questioned her angrily, "How are we going to feed every single one of them? Did you even think before letting them stay here?"
More than eighty people were enough to cause trouble for them. Even if they could prove helpful, there was a really good chance that they could also cause trouble for them. What if these survivors didn’t get anything to eat for another three or four days? Wouldn’t they attack them?
"Are you getting angry at me?" Bai Xue raised her head with an aggrieved look in her eyes. With her lip jutting out, she looked at Su Hu with a hint of coquetishness. "Who am I doing this for? Aren’t I doing it because I was worried that we will have nothing to eat in the coming days? I thought that as long as we have enough people with us, we won’t have to worry about anything."
When Su Hu heard her aggrieved voice, he couldn’t stay angry with her anymore. He sighed and hugged her. "Okay, okay. Don’t get angry. I only said that because I was worried those people would cause trouble for us."
"Hmm," Bai Xue buried her face into Su Hu’s arms; however, once her face was hidden, Bai Xue raised her hand and started nibbling on her thumbnail. The reason she allowed Xiang Mei and the rest to stay here was because she wanted them to steal Bai Meiyue’s supplies.
But this time around, she not only failed to get what she wanted, but she even raised a stone to smash it on her foot. Not only did she fail to get any advantage, but she also caused trouble for herself.
Su Hu was right. These people were like ticking bombs; if she did not deal with them properly, they would certainly cause trouble for her and her family. No matter what, she first needed to arrange these people properly or else she would be too worried about her safety.
Bai Xue turned quiet. If she was being honest, she was quite scared of Bai Meiyue. Ever since she was dragged by Bai Meiyue outside, Bai Xue felt a bit unstable. It was human instinct to do things that would help them, even if they were a tad bit selfish.

Anyway, a person cannot change so much in just a few weeks or month. Bai Meiyue was raised by her mother for years; how could she change so suddenly? Bai Meiyue cared so much about her before; she must care about her somewhere still, right? That fool, Bai Meiyue, caught Bai Xue doing things to hurt her so many times. She had forgiven her then; surely she would forgive her this time too?
