Chapter 1005 - 1004: I've Got Good News for You

"After all... if you're going on a honeymoon, wouldn't you want to make proper arrangements in advance?"Upon hearing a voice behind her, Qin Ruoying was slightly taken aback. She turned around to see her sister with a sly and somewhat smug smile, while Chu Ge was laughing even more heartily.

"Sis, brother-in-law, you guys..."

It was at this moment that Qin Ruoying finally realized what was going on. She had been played all along.

"Ha, just a joke, who knew you'd get so worked up and angry so quickly?" Chu Ge shrugged with a mischievous smile, "Even if your sister is a workaholic, she's still human, not a work machine. Besides, even if she doesn't want to go out and relax, I wouldn't be happy about it. Come on, don't be mad, give your brother-in-law a smile?"

Annoyed, Qin Ruoying stomped her foot and said angrily, "Do you guys have any decency? I was thinking of you two out of the kindness of my heart, and now you're teaming up to mess with me. Seeing me mad makes you happy, right? And now you want me to laugh? I'll laugh at you!"

"You laugh at my head? Fine, if you think it's funny, then laugh. Laugh at my neck, my arms, hands, feet—wherever you think is funny. I don't mind."

Chu Ge continued teasing Qin Ruoying, but Qin Ruojing thought it was time to stop the joke. They were originally planning to surprise their little sister; if she got genuinely upset before the surprise, it wouldn't be fun.

"Ruoying, come over here, sis has some good news for you."

Qin Ruojing waved her hand to her sister, but Qin Ruoying stood still and stayed silent.

"It's really good news, I assure you, you'll definitely be happy once you hear it." Qin Ruojing waved her hand again with a playful smile, stopping her swing with sincerity replacing part of the teasing.

"Really? You won't just come up with another way to mess with me?"

Qin Ruoying asked skeptically, not fully convinced.

To her, Qin Ruojing and Chu Ge going on a honeymoon meant she'd go a long time without seeing them. They'd be happily enjoying their newlywed bliss while she'd become a stay-at-home 'bride'. She couldn't imagine how Qin Ruojing could have any news that would make her truly happy.

With a gentle smile, Qin Ruojing shook her head, "Don't worry, your brother-in-law might be unreliable, but your sister is trustworthy. I promise."

Seeing her sister speak with such certainty, Qin Ruoying, still not fully convinced, started walking toward Qin Ruojing. Chu Ge stepped away from the swing, inviting Qin Ruoying to sit back on it.

Chu Ge gave both Qin Ruojing and Qin Ruoying's swing a push, and both sisters started swinging again. Qin Ruojing smiled, saying to her sister, "The good news is, you get to decide where we go for the honeymoon."

In Qin Ruoying's heart, the clouds did not dissipate; she wondered what could be pleasant about deciding her sister and Chu Ge's honeymoon spot. It only seemed like it would make her even more frustrated, wouldn't it?

If she mentioned a place she longed to visit, they'd be there, deeply engrossed in each other's company, entirely happy—lost in their enjoyment—and she would only be imagining how happy they must be, which was undoubtedly a depressing thought.

"Sis, is this supposed to be the good news that makes me happy?"

With a pout, Qin Ruoying asked, her face openly expressing disappointment and helplessness.

Unfazed, Qin Ruojing nodded, "Of course, you've always loved traveling since you were little. You surely know more about fun places than I do. Choosing a good spot shouldn't be a problem, right?"

Qin Ruoying rolled her eyes inwardly, distractedly saying, "Then go to Qingdao; a shrimp costs thirty-eight bucks, anyway you can afford them. Hmm, if you encounter restaurants charging by the grain for rice, that'd be even better. When you casually settle your bill, you'll surely receive plenty of amazed and envious looks and be revered as wealthy, with people imagining a glittering halo of 'rich gold' around you, outglowing viewers' various 24K titanium alloy explosion-proof dog eyes."

Chu Ge chuckled, "Revered as wealthy? More like admired as suckers, right?"

Of course, Qin Ruojing knew her sister was just talking nonsense. She couldn't help but suppress a laugh and shake her head with exasperation, "Ruoying, can we try something more realistic?"

"Something more realistic? Sure, go visit a Middle Eastern country. Guarantee you'll experience a unique cultural atmosphere; office workers balancing briefcases while carrying AK47s, casually going to work when there's nothing happening, and swiftly grabbing their guns when there's action. Just a few days ago, I saw on the news a parent drove a tank to send their kid to elementary school, while a birthday party had a teenager shooting their name onto a target with a rifle. Such rare sights, definitely more realistic, right?"

Qin Ruojing was even more speechless. Seeing this situation, if she didn't speak the truth soon, the places her sister suggested would only get further out of line.

"Ruoying, are you sure you want to visit such a place?"

Still feeling upset, Qin Ruoying didn't realize her sister's tone had changed and nonchalantly replied.

"Hmm... If you still don't find it exciting enough, you can stroll through all our visa-free countries. Once you come back safe and sound, congratulations, you've unlocked a new achievement title: One! Piece! King! Or maybe..."

After saying this, Qin Ruoying suddenly paused, slowly turning her gaze to her sister, whose face was a mix of amusement and disbelief. Her actions were more mechanical than slow, finally realizing that something seemed off with her sister's previous words.

"Wait, what? Sis, what did you just say?"

Qin Ruojing chuckled, "I said, are you sure you want to travel to the kind of place you just mentioned?"

Qin Ruoying blinked, pointing at herself, "Me? Aren't you two the ones looking for a place for your honeymoon? Why..."

Qin Ruojing shrugged, "If this honeymoon has nothing to do with you, do you think your brother-in-law and I would deliberately seek your opinion to annoy you?"

Qin Ruoying was stunned, her expression a mix of bewilderment and a growing sense of anticipation, as she blinked her large eyes, glancing at Qin Ruojing, then at Chu Ge with his signature smile. Finally, she asked in an uncertain tone, "Sis, brother-in-law, you're not planning to... take me along on the honeymoon, are you?"

Qin Ruojing smiled but said nothing. Chu Ge gave Qin Ruoying's swing a push, setting it in motion.

Qin Ruoying instinctively turned her head and saw Chu Ge grinning at her, revealing his pearly white teeth, and nodding.

"Exactly, that's what we mean. Otherwise, you'd be bored staying at home alone, wouldn't you?"

This time, Qin Ruoying finally realized she hadn't guessed wrong or heard wrong. All her previous frustration vanished instantly, and her previously dim eyes were once again filled with excitement.

"Hooray!"

Qin Ruoying shouted excitedly, and as the swing returned to its starting point, she jumped off, giving Qin Ruojing a big hug and a loud kiss on the cheek, then pounced towards Chu Ge.

Chu Ge quickly dodged, shaking his head in amusement, gesturing with his eyes toward other tourists nearby. Although it seemed like he was raining on her parade a bit, they were in a public place, and the three of them together needed to be a bit careful.

Understanding the hint, Qin Ruoying stopped in her tracks, though she was brimming with joy, seemingly wanting to turn a few somersaults to celebrate.

"Oh? No more pouting now?" Chu Ge teased with a laugh, "Earlier, your lips were practically ready to hang a drip bottle."

Qin Ruoying scratched her head in embarrassment and delight, "Well, you two were teasing me on purpose earlier; if you'd told me earlier, I would have... Anyway, you two really are too naughty."

Qin Ruojing gently swung back and forth on the swing, laughing as she asked, "So, are we going to eat big prawns in Qingdao and be revered as tycoons, or watch street gunfights in the Middle East, or maybe tour the visa-free countries to experience the feeling of being the returning Pirate King?"

"Oh, sis, stop talking about all these unreliable places. I was wrong, okay?"

Qin Ruoying's rare blush and sheepish tongue made Chu Ge and Qin Ruojing burst into laughter.

"Sis, brother-in-law, won't it be strange if you take me on your honeymoon? It feels, feels kind of weird, doesn't it?"

Qin Ruoying's excitement finally subsided a bit as she sat back on the swing, intertwining her fingers with a somewhat conflicted expression.

"Then... maybe we should leave you behind?" Qin Ruojing chuckled and teased again.

Hearing her sister say this, Qin Ruoying's face grew even more conflicted, her fingers fidgeting, as if wanting to say something but hesitating.

"Come on, don't overthink it. We already talked about the three of us from the start, didn't we? We felt bad for leaving you out at the wedding, so if the two of us went out and left you at home, what would that be? It's settled then; the only thing you need to think about now is where exactly we should go."

Qin Ruojing got off the swing, walked over to Qin Ruoying, and patted her on the shoulder, speaking with both sincerity and authority.

Qin Ruoying turned her gaze to Chu Ge, who also nodded at her, his expression devoid of teasing or ridicule, matching her sister's sincerity and gentleness.

After hesitating for a few seconds, Qin Ruoying took a deep breath and, as she lifted her head, reverted to her usual cheerful self. The only difference from before was that her eyes now sparkled with a light called happiness.
