Life Of A Nobody - as a Villain

Chapter 386: even the genius falls

Chapter 386: even the genius falls

In the opposite direction of Sol, is city of Cetum, a city ruled by a subrace of Nefris called Sirus.

Sirus are nefirs born from the marriage of simir and sapinsar, the originals.

As hybrids born from both ruling races, one can imagine the social standings of Sirus. In the beginning, they were considered the purest blood offspring.

Hence over time, as everyone around them respected and loved them, they started getting spoiled. So much so that an ego that others are lower beings, made just to serve them, started coming into their hearts.

Obviously the more this superiority complex grew, the more their racism and hate crimes against others started.

Thus leading them to be hated by everyone over time.

The proud Sirus couldn't accept this 'rebellion' of lower caste, so they tried their best to cull it in the curb, by causing senseless killings in the name of punishments. Making others to hate them even more.

Fast forward a few decades, Sirus are now ousted by everyone and forced to live in a small camp they occupied deep in the dark forests. Weak in strength, less in numbers, and not friends with anyone - That's how the original bully turned into the bullied rabbit.

Though ever since the new leader of Sirus, called Serium took charge and was chosen as the 2nd son of godmother, their situation had shown signs of improvements.

In this city were thrown - Amelia, Saisha, Kevin, Levi, Hermaan, Amaya, and many others.

Currently all of them were living the life of luxury in the castle of Serium, as he welcomed everyone as his champion and hero sent by godmother to assist in this oncoming war.

The treatment these students received was higher than any other in this camp. Making many loose their guards against this alien race.

"Do you believe what that guy said?"

"What's there to doubt, we've been here for 3 days, we've all read the books in library, done our research outside, seen the peaceful city and the prosperous crowd firsthand. We should just help these guys win this war."

"Yeah, and besides, Sirus have always been targeted by everyone due to the gifts they receive at their birth, and having pure blood, so maybe if Sirus defeats all the cities and end this constant war for good, we'll clear the dungeon too."

"But we still have no idea where the dungeon's core is? The mission was to secure the core?"

"As princess Siri said, when there's no more war, when all the cities are united and the altar for godmother becomes whole, we can get our core and finish the mission."

"Talking about princess Siri, ..."

"Ahh not again. We all know how pretty she is."

"But yesterday she was wearing red, and that's just... Ahhhh man my heart still flutters remembering that scene."

"But didn't she wear white yesterday."

"..."

Students were talking amongst themselves, talking useless things, when a girl who could be said as literal definition of beauty, to whom labeling 11/10 would also be a disrespect, appeared in the room.

Her form, no different than that of a royal elf with long green hairs. Figure, as if God took a holiday from other affairs and carved it carefully. Her personality, filled with elegance & kindness, paired with a smile that could melt hearts cold as ice at first sight. If someone said she was the goddess of beauty personified, no one in Cetum would have any doubt. Hell even the students wouldn't.

"Heroes, should we leave for our mission?" Siri said, her voice as if ringing of bells that could hypnotize a heart, broke everyone's reverie and brought them back.

If any of these attacks were truly shot in the real world, it could wipe half a city in one hit, yet now here, in her brain, a dozen of them disappeared in silence, doing nothing. Not even causing a gust of wind that shook off the tree's leaves.

"Your mind's quite strong for a weak human, but that's all it is. You won't be able to hide in this library for forever, little girl. Give up." The voice came again, silencing all the efforts of Amaya, while dozens of branches shot towards her.

'Damn it.' Amaya cursed in her heart, as her ethereal form disappeared from that place and appeared far away.

"I underestimated this damn tree." She said, thinking back about yesterday night when she learned the truth about the true face of Sirus, and how they showed fake history books to students while hiding the real truth about why they were hated and ousted.

Her brain even solved the puzzle of this planet and how it worked around by making people puppets, but she failed in the confrontation against this tree, the link as she called it to clear this dungeon.

"Who knew this damn tree could reach this rank and have such power... damn this academy and their greedy politics." she cursed yet again, before going into deep thoughts.

''It's clear that I can't hold on much longer.' She thought, looking at her inner space and noticing how small the library on her corner had gotten and how big a space that damned tree had covered through its roots and branches. "Guess I'll just have to use the last resort." She said, remembering a conversation in the book that unfolded before her, playing as a scene for her to see.

{"Nice drama, isn't it?" Amaya said, pointing at the fights happening below between half the dorm residents. It started with a classic food snatching and throwing soup over a nerd's head bullying scene, to increasing several folds with spitting in plates, and then to short scuffle for rich vs poor, and now to a full on brawl for satisfying male ego.

- Amaya sitting in silence at the balcony, had orchestrated everything, making puppets out of everyone.

"I told you to not use her in any of your games." Rio said, coming to her side as he grabbed her hand, and forced her to look at him. "She's not to be disturbed."

"Oh come on, you take her to watch a rape event, but I can't even let her witness a bullying accident." Amaya said, pulling her hand back.

Remembering the sour conversation with Amy over the kevin-levi event, Rio frowned and increased his grip.

"You're hurting me, let go already." Amaya said, wincing in pain.

"I'm warning you, don't ever do it again. Or you'll regret it." Rio said and let go, before turning to look downstairs, watching as Leon jumped in the chaos to save some pitiful weak chickens. Before turning his head towards Amy who was fighting against some vampire clan members. "As for this fight, you better work hard so she doesn't get hurt."

"What?"

-snap- Rio's words made her confused, but before she could voice her doubt, a sound of finger snap was heard, and next second Amaya found herself, standing just behind Amy.

"Not a scratch." Amaya heard Rio's voice in her head, before looking up and seeing him smile while enjoying this drama from her seat, with her coffee.

"..." } The book folded back and the scene playing for Amaya's brain like a video ended.

"I'm sorry Rio, but there's no other option." The ethereal Amaya said to herself.

'Let's just hope you can come here before I die. At this point maybe only you have the power to blast this thing. and get me out.'

As she made final preparations in her brain, planning to play the last card, to free herself and defeat the boss of this dungeon, Amelia who was far away, seemed to have heard a broken message.

[Come to the city. _ Save them. _ He's killing._ Sirus eat _Siri is _ the tree. Come back.]

Amy stopped midway and stood in the air, over a static space platform. Her brows furrowed in confusion as she tried to make some sense of what she heard.

"That voice was Amaya's. She usually stays in the city, did something happen?" Amy thought for a second and then directly turned around towards the city.

Taking first step towards the path that would bring about the beginning of her journey on the path of chaos, that destiny had in store for her.

Her adventure finally starts.
