Chapter 158: Cain Vs Seth

In the shadow of the ancient mountains, Cain and Seth stood facing each other, the weight of their shared lineage heavy upon their shoulders. Cain’s eyes, filled with a mixture of anguish and resentment, bore into Seth’s as he struggled to contain the turmoil within him.

"Seth," Cain’s voice was a low growl, tainted with bitterness, "you were never meant to be. You were a replacement, a feeble attempt to fill the void left by Abel’s absence."

Cain’s gaze hardened, his fists clenched at his sides as the memories of his rejection flooded his mind. "Our parents forgot about me, Seth," he spat, his voice filled with venom. "They cast me aside, forsaking me for the memory of Abel. And now, they have replaced him with you, as if I never existed."

Seth’s heart broke at the pain and resentment in Cain’s words, his sorrow mirrored in his brother’s eyes. "Cain, please," he implored, reaching out a hand in a gesture of reconciliation. "We can find a way to heal from the wounds of the past. We can forge a new path, together."

But Cain’s rage consumed him, his vision clouded by the ghosts of his suffering. With a primal roar, he lunged at Seth, his hands grasping for the hilt of his blade. "It is too late for us, Seth," he growled, his voice thick with emotion. "The sins of our past can never be erased."
