Chapter 596 - 17: Qiuzi Dancer

Chapter 596 - 17: Qiuzi Dancer

Chen Tang and the Yin Demon, along with their group, headed westwards. Three days later, they entered the borders of Qiuzi Country.

Before nightfall, the group reached the capital of Qiuzi.

At this hour, the gates of Qiuzi’s capital had long been shut.

But seeing the impressive carriage of the Demon Sect from afar, the face of the Defender on the city gate changed. He sent a person to the palace to report while he personally rushed down to open the gate.

The Defender, along with the Qiuzi guards, knelt on one knee on both sides of the city gate and bowed.

In no time, over a hundred riders could be seen escorting a black carriage slowly through the gate.

Once the carriage had gone far, the people at the gate stood up.

"Sir, who from the Demon Sect has arrived?"

"I’m not sure. Judging by the carriage, it could be one of the princes."

The capital of Qiuzi was under curfew, with no one on the streets except the patrolling guards.

The hundred or so raiders and the carriage of the Demon Sect proceeded through unhindered. Any guards who saw the emblem on the Demon Sect carriage quickly stepped aside, not daring to block their path.

Under the moonlight, the capital of Qiuzi was filled with the scent of the Exotic Realm.

Soon, the carriage arrived at the gates of the Royal Palace.

At the palace gates stood several hundred people.

"Which prince of the Demon Sect is honored to grace us with their presence?"

The elder at the front wore a crown and luxurious clothes, his upper lip adorned with thick moustache whose ends slightly curled upwards. He spoke with a heavy accent.

The carriage stopped, and its curtain was lifted.

The Yin Demon led Chen Tang out of the carriage.

"So it’s Second and Third Princes. My apologies for not receiving you sooner. I hope both princes will forgive my oversight."

The man smiled broadly.

The Yin Demon did not alight but stood at the coachman’s seat, looking down, and said, "King Chuzi, this is my junior disciple, a new disciple taken by our master, the Demon Monarch, Chen Tang!"

"Ah!"

The elder paused momentarily, then bowed towards Chen Tang and said, "King Chuzi greets His Highness, the Demon Monarch."

Chen Tang thought secretly, "It seems Yin Demon isn’t exaggerating; they are just disciples of the Demon Venerable, and without notification, they come abruptly, yet King Chuzi personally comes out to receive them."

The Yin Demon said, "We have not yet eaten dinner. Please prepare some fine wine and food. We plan to stay here for a couple of days."

"It is the honor of Qiuzi Country; please move ahead, Your Highnesses."

King Chuzi instructed the Ritual Officer to escort Chen Tang and the others into the palace, while other disciples of the Demon Sect were also specially attended to.

Within the Royal Palace, a spacious courtyard was brightly lit, music playing melodiously.

A grand banquet was underway.

In the center of the courtyard was a beautifully laid carpet, surrounded by various strange and exotic musical instruments, and musicians were playing enchanting melodies.

King Chuzi sat at the center, with Chen Tang, the Yin Demon, and the Death Demon seated just below him, in upper seats.

Chen Tang had Luo Sha by his side, who now stood behind him.

Below them were the royalty and ministers of Qiuzi making company.

In less than an hour, various delicacies and fine foods and drinks were brought to their seats continuously.

A dark cloud drifted across, covering the full moon.

Suddenly, the music ceased abruptly.

When the moonlight shone again into the courtyard, a beautiful young girl in a splendid long dress stood in the center of the floor.

Her attire was primarily dark blue, with golden floral patterns, and her long dress gently swayed with her steps.

The girl’s long hair was as black as ink and lustrous, styled in an exquisite bun. Her eyes were deep and bright, occasionally glancing at Chen Tang with a hint of curiosity and admiration in her dance.

The Yin Demon laughed and said, "Junior disciple, Qiuzi people excel in dancing, and Huazizai Palace has many dancers from Qiuzi. This girl seems fine; King Chuzi seems rather thoughtful."

As the music resumed, the girl started to dance gracefully and elegantly.

Not only her steps, but even her fingers danced agilely, like butterflies weaving through flowers; each gesture was full of allure, seemingly stirring deep desires!

The girl lightly moved her lotus steps and gradually approached Chen Tang, dancing around him.

In the midst of cheers, the girl’s dance steps quickened, her movements sometimes demure and shy, coy and inviting, sometimes placing her palm boldly on Chen Tang’s shoulder.

Chen Tang watched for a while, feeling uninterested.

He had no knowledge of dance, and the most frequent dance he might have seen in his previous life was a singing basketball routine.

Moreover, the girl was too young, looking only thirteen or fourteen.

In this place, one could marry at this age.

But Chen Tang felt somewhat resistant, seeing her reminded him of Zhiwei and Ah Li.

He regarded them as sisters, never having other thoughts.

Besides, at this age, she hadn’t matured. Even if girls from the Exotic Realm matured early, they were far inferior to Luo Sha behind him.

That figure was truly top-notch.

Occasionally recalling a couple of days ago, Chen Tang could feel a slight heat and stir in his mind.

After a long while, the girl stopped dancing, her breathing slightly rapid, her wheat-colored skin covered in a thin layer of sweat, soaking her clothes.

The girl looked at Chen Tang without blinking, as if expecting something.

"How was the dance, Your Highness?"

King Chuzi asked with a smile.

Chen Tang, drowsy from watching, only reacted when Luo Sha pushed him from behind, applauding: "Good!"

Everyone was taken aback.

This seemed somewhat perfunctory.

But everyone reacted quickly and, before the moment turned awkward, joined in applauding and praising collectively.

A hint of disappointment flashed in the girl’s eyes as she slowly retreated.

King Chuzi was extremely enthusiastic, and everyone drank and toasted until the early hours, then left happily.

"Junior disciple, go back and enjoy yourself."

The Yin Demon smiled at Chen Tang, embracing two Qiuzi beauties on either side as he left.

Chen Tang, tipsy and groggy, staggered as he walked, only able to barely stand with Luo Sha’s support.

The Death Demon had long left the banquet, not staying with the others.

Chen Tang, reeking of alcohol, swayed back to his dwelling.

Once inside, Luo Sha helped Chen Tang to the bedside.

The girl who danced at the banquet was obediently waiting by the side, her face flushing as she looked at the drunken Chen Tang.

Luo Sha seemed aware of what might happen, helped Chen Tang to lean against the bed, and said to the girl, "I’ll leave His Highness to you."

"Mm."

The girl bowed her head slightly and responded softly.

At that moment, the girl felt a pain in her neck and immediately lost consciousness, fainting.

Luo Sha was about to turn and leave when she saw this scene and couldn’t help but jump in surprise.

Chen Tang rolled over, his eyes bright and clear, showing no sign of intoxication.

He casually knocked the girl out and placed her on the bed, circulating his Qi and Blood.

Within a few breaths, the smell of alcohol dissipated through his pores, and the flush on his face quickly faded. He was completely restored.

"Your Highness, you..."

Luo Sha was very surprised and had just opened her mouth when Chen Tang signaled her to be silent.

"Last time the grand plan to elope was thwarted, let’s try again this time."

Chen Tang said in a low voice.

His previous drinking and revelry at the feast was merely an act to lull others into a false sense of security.

While the others were drunk, it was the perfect opportunity for him to leave.

"Are we eloping again?"

Luo Sha’s eyes shone with excitement.

By the time Chen Tang had returned, he was already familiar with the surroundings and remembered the defense arrangements.

Seeing no one guarding, Chen Tang quietly opened a crack in the door and looked outside before slipping out.

Just as he had taken Luo Sha a short distance and turned a corner, the sudden darkness before his eyes nearly caused him to bump into someone!

He focused and looked.

The Death Demon, with a long face, arms crossed, said nothing but glared at him coldly.
