Chapter 2070 - 2073: Why Didn’t He Just Shoot You Dead?
He braced himself beside her, tugged at his tie with one hand, a smirk on his lips, his breath all over her back: "I don’t want to be thrown out the window by you."
"I’m hungry, hungry, my stomach’s growling!" Maimai shouted and screamed for help.
"Didn’t you say you were full at the restaurant?" Sheng Sheng said helplessly.
Maimai clutched the sheets and continued to shout: "I wasn’t hungry then, but I am now. I’m so hungry my chest is sticking to my back. I’m hungry, hungry, hungry, hungry, hungry..."
"You really switch up quickly." Sheng Sheng took off his jacket, climbed off her before his eardrums burst, untied his tie and tossed it onto her face, with an evil grin: "Stay here, don’t move, I’ll go heat up some leftovers for you."
Maimai grabbed the tie covering her eyes and tossed it in his direction, but it floated so lightly it didn’t go far.
Maimai was about to get up, but Sheng Sheng pushed her back down, grinning mischievously: "Stay down, don’t move, or there’ll be no food."
Stay down, you big-headed fool!
As soon as Sheng Sheng left the bedroom, Maimai immediately got up, squatted down to check her slippers, the tags were still on, confirming they were new. She happily put them on, lifted her leg to sniff them, and even put her hands behind her back like a president inspecting, taking a tour of the apartment, including upstairs.
Then she peeked in the direction of the kitchen, quietly went to the bedroom to grab her high heels and bag, tiptoed to the door intending to make a swift escape, only to find the door wouldn’t open, becoming frustrated and started stomping.
"Don’t even think about escaping, it’s a fingerprint lock." Sheng Sheng appeared behind her out of nowhere.
Maimai, frustrated, tossed her heels to the ground, sat on the living room sofa hugging her bag and pouted moodily. Sheng Sheng called to her from the open kitchen: "Come help."
Maimai didn’t budge.
Sheng Sheng turned his head, his voice clear: "Come on."
"Why? I can’t cook."
"My back itches, help me scratch it." Sheng Sheng said teasingly.
Maimai jumped up and ran to his side, grabbing a brush nearby and lifted his shirt, scaring Sheng Sheng into taking two steps back. He quickly turned and tossed the brush from her hand into the sink, "I’m not a horse, brushing like that could kill someone."
As she tried to make her escape, he grabbed her wrist and pulled it to his back, "Scratch here, it itches."
Maimai refused, but then realized she was touching a scar. Surprised, she lifted his shirt to see a new scar and raised an eyebrow: "You turtle egg, what’s with your back?"
"Tried to take over a busty babe, got into a showdown with her husband," Sheng Sheng nonsensically replied.
Maimai clearly didn’t believe him, she wasn’t dumb: "Why didn’t he just shoot you? That would have rid the world of a menace! Such a pitiful excuse for a husband, way too soft!"
Maimai put his shirt back down. You shouldn’t scratch scars, new skin is itchy. Maimai knew a bit about that. She pulled her hand away, and when Sheng Sheng asked her to scratch again, Maimai simply kicked him: "I’m not your maid, expecting me to serve you, dream on in your next life!"
Back on the living room sofa, she turned on the TV with the remote. Coincidentally, the first episode of her new show was on. Maimai watched herself on TV, quietly critiqued her acting, felt she was really good, touched her little face, delighting in her own beauty...
