Chapter 37 Are you alright? If you're alright, then eat—
"Wow—" The three humans exclaimed in unison. At this moment, Rosa had taken off her armor, and spread her wings on her back. Countless sharp silver blades gleamed under the lights of the base.
Others, however, were more concerned with other issues.
How the hell did this thing even extend out?!
They clearly saw Rosa demonstrate how to extend and retract her wings. The wings would suddenly shrink or enlarge as they extended or retracted, then come out or go back into her body, just like the way Rosa's tail had expanded and contracted as seen in the ambulance earlier.
None of it makes any sense.
Everyone felt a crack appear in their worldview.
"So, Rosa is actually an angel?!" Meiqi exclaimed curiously, pointing to the huge wings on Rosa's back.
"Angels? What are those?" the partition asked, tilting her head in confusion. Meiqi gestured, "Angels are from human religions. They're usually human-shaped with wings like birds on their backs."
Raffi added, "There are all sorts of things in religions, like carrying out God's commands and guiding humanity."
He adjusted his glasses and explained to the TF members, searching for images related to angels: "Angels are usually depicted as pure, beautiful, kind, and benevolent beings with wings, radiating light and having halos above their heads." Raffi projected the images onto the base's main hall, which displayed some religious paintings.
Rosa's lips twitched. Kindness and compassion? The words "thank you" seemed utterly irrelevant to her, even ironic given the context of herself and other killers with similar bladed wings. Jack also recalled the sight of Rosa's back, with its cluster of tentacled pincers and scythes.
Meanwhile, the ambulance was using instruments to test the hardness of the skin. Seeing the data, they were already numb. They were now planning to classify Rosa as outside the Cybertronian zone. Bumblebee, upon hearing this, gave Rosa starry-eyed looks.
Next, the ambulance attempted to study Rosa's extreme "compression technology," trying to piece together her shattered worldview. Meanwhile, several humans were asking Rosa other questions, and soon they raised a crucial one.
"How did you join the Decepticons in the first place?" Everyone raised their audio receivers to listen carefully.
"Just to freeload?"
"What about before you joined the Decepticons? What did you do before you joined the Decepticons?" Good question. Rosa hesitated, unsure how to answer. Optimus Prime noticed her embarrassment and stepped in to help, telling them that it was already very late and almost time for their curfew.
The three children were a little disappointed; they were really curious about Rosa's past. However, Rosa thought for a moment and gave them a hint.
"Let me give you a hint. Don't you think the solver doesn't seem like something from this universe?" Rosa laughed, then crossed her arms to make a big X.
"Alright, that's enough hints. It'll be pointless to say too much." He was about to go back to rest when he realized that the topic had to end there. But the phrase "not like a product of this universe" made the ambulance start to think.
He recalled the things Rosa had searched for when she first arrived: the Shadow Zone, the multiverse, and the vague conjectures about Ratchet. The worldview of Ratchet was pieced together a little. Yes, Rosa wasn't from this world. Well, that's how it's explained.
"Alright, it's about time to go back." Arcee looked at Jack and said, "Don't worry your mother." Rosa paused for a moment when she heard "Don't worry your mother," but continued walking towards her room.
That evening, Arcee, the partition, and Bumblebee escorted several humans away. However, Arcee reported something over the intercom: Jack's mother, Jane Darby, seemed to be unhappy with Jack lately, and she might have to use the land bridge to teleport to Jack's garage at any time.
Because she felt that Jack had been corrupted by those people who raced cars outside.
Rosa didn't care about any of that. All she wanted was to finish the magnetic energy-enhanced photon collector rifle as soon as possible, then overwhelm the Decepticons with firepower, and figure out a way to go home after Cybertron's resurgence.
Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.
Over the next few days, Rosa devoted herself to hard work, striving to overcome the previous problems.
One afternoon a few days later, Rosa suddenly screamed from her room.
"Rosa! What happened to you..." The ambulance rushed to Rosa's room first, mainly because of the previous explosion; he was genuinely afraid Rosa would do something else.
When he and the other Autobots rushed over, they saw Rosa cheering. She looked like a happy little girl. In front of her was a green-glowing device, presumably the core of the weapon she wanted to create.
When she showed the ambulance the design blueprints for the core components of the weapon, the ambulance driver was shocked.
Genius! Who could have come up with this design?
When Rosa took out the completed blueprints for the magnetic energy-enhanced photon collector rifle, the ambulance driver gasped in shock.
Rosa's version was several times larger than the previous version made by her grandmother Uzi, making it the size she could currently wield, and its power was also several times greater. With this power, if aimed accurately, it might be able to blast away an Optimus Prime in one shot. However...
The charging time is also quite long, 30 minutes, classifying it as a burst weapon. However, it still faces numerous technical challenges, and currently only the core energy collector for this weapon has been completed.
This is already quite impressive, especially considering the Autobots' current numerical disadvantage. This energy harvester allows the gun to fire without requiring additional energy, making it self-sufficient. This is indeed a very good design given the Autobots' current severe energy shortage.
"Fortunately..." After seeing Rosa's work and returning to the hall, Arcee paused for a moment, then smiled and said, "It's a good thing I brought her along..."
“Arcy…” The partition knew she was thinking of Flying Over the Mountain.
“I’m fine…one has to look forward.” Arcee looked at Jack, and Jack smiled back at Arcee. Just then, a cough was heard.
"Uh, cough!!"
When Rosa finished packing and came to the hall, this was the scene she saw: a strange human woman was looking at Arcee, and this human woman bore a resemblance to Jack.
Did I miss something while I was doing research these past few days?
Rosa looked around with a puzzled expression. "Have I missed something lately?" Meiqi answered first.
“There are many! For example, the Mechanics teamed up with Black Widow to kidnap Jack’s mother, but Arcee rescued her; Arcee and the partition got the magnetic gloves; and so on!” Meiqi beckoned Rosa closer and whispered next to Rosa’s receiver, “And there were the few of us who were buried underground in the mine… Don’t let Jack’s mother know…” Meiqi finished speaking, glanced around, and immediately moved away from Rosa, pretending to be nonchalant as she walked away…
“This is Nurse Darby, Jack’s mother. This is Rosa, whom I told you about before. She’s also one of our Autobots, but lately she’s been immersed in technological research.” Optimus Prime introduced Rosa and Darby to each other.
Watching Optimus Prime introduce the two machines to each other, Bumblebee quietly asked, "Where did Arcee go?"
"She went up there...maybe to see Cliffhanger, let her have some peace and quiet..." the ambulance driver answered for Bumblebee, continuing with its work.
.....
The ambulance, which looked like it was always busy with all sorts of work, remained silent for a moment before slowly saying, "You are indeed very suitable to teach Rosa... two tech geeks."
The ambulance slowly displayed a question mark, looking at the partition with an expression that seemed to ask, "Are you alright?"

"Dude...the view from here is really nice..." Arcee stood beside a pile of rocks at the top of the base. This was Flying Mountain's grave, placed on the top of the base so that one could overlook all the beautiful rivers and mountains in the distance...oh, sorry, no river.
But the sunset was still beautiful. Even though it was surrounded by yellow sand, the yellow was a warm color, a color that Flyover Mountain loves. The yellow sand here also has a Western cowboy style, which matches the cow horns on the top of Flyover Mountain very well.
“If your spark can still hear me… I really need you. It feels like new Decepticons are coming here every day, and we can’t outnumber them…” Arcee frowned, but looking at the pile of rocks, she seemed to see Cliffjumper still sitting there, still here… She thought about what Cliffjumper would say if he were here…
“Yes,” Arcee relaxed her brows, “you might say this is fair…” But looking at the pile of stones, looking at Flying Mountain’s grave, they couldn’t even leave him a proper burial.
Flyover is gone... Arcee's eyes drooped, but...
“If that’s the case, then forget it.” In the sunlight, Arcee clenched her fist tightly. “I want you to know that I never gave up, and I will find it!” Arcee turned around.
"I will find that Decepticon who harmed you!"
