Chapter 96 Frieza's Base
Chapter 96 Frieza's Base
"Hold on, everyone!" Shang Yun shouted, gripping the handrails tightly with both hands, his body swaying with the movement of the spaceship.
"Who are these people? Why are they attacking us?" Klin frowned, his eyes revealing a hint of anger and confusion.
Under the impact of the energy wave, the warships were not spared either. They were destroyed like paper toys, turning into wreckage fragments that drifted everywhere in the universe.
Just as the group breathed a sigh of relief, before they could even calm their hearts which were pounding in their throats, a spaceship that looked remarkably similar to theirs hurtled towards them from the side like a ghost, moving so fast that they didn't have time to react.
"Bulma, turn around right now!" Shang Yun shouted hoarsely, his voice sharp and shrill from extreme tension.
Bulma frantically operated the controls, her forehead covered in sweat: "I'm trying! This spaceship isn't reacting that fast!"
However, the opposing spaceship also seemed to be turning at the same time, resulting in both ships strangely aligning their course. With a devastating collision imminent, Bulma desperately tried to adjust the ship's direction again, but it was too late.
"It's all over! It's all over!" Bulma closed her eyes in despair.
Ultimately, the two spaceships inevitably collided. The entire ship trembled violently, as if it were about to be torn to shreds by the force. Items fell from the shelves, and the impact knocked everyone to the ground, leaving them disheveled and exhausted.
Surprisingly, the collision of the spaceships did not result in the explosion everyone feared. Instead, they were instantly enveloped in a strange light. The light, like a giant vortex, emanated a mysterious and eerie aura, tightly enveloping the two spaceships, as if they had undergone a mysterious spatial journey. Then, the two spaceships slowly merged together, their metals intertwining and permeating each other, emitting a "sizzling" sound, before disappearing without a trace.
Only a silent and empty universe remained, along with the gradually fading light, as if nothing had ever happened.
……
In the endless dark abyss of the vast universe, Frieza's army base resembled a lurking prehistoric beast, quietly perched in the cold cosmic space, exuding a chilling aura of majesty.
From a distance, the base resembles a magnificent and massive metal fortress, its surface covered with intricate, labyrinthine patterns and sharp, menacing protrusions. These protrusions gleam with a cold, chilling luster under the eerie starlight, like the indestructible scales of this behemoth.
Upon entering the base, a wide and deep corridor immediately comes into view. The walls are forged from a mysterious, unknown black metal, cold to the touch and as hard as iron, giving off a strong sense of oppression. Embedded in these walls are energy veins emitting a pale blue light, flowing slowly like veins, infusing this lifeless and cold building with a chilling vitality, and enveloping the entire corridor in a mysterious and eerie atmosphere. On the ceiling, huge metal pipes intertwine and twist, like wildly writhing pythons, occasionally emitting low, muffled energy surges, like the panting of this sleeping behemoth, echoing in the empty corridor, making one's heart beat faster involuntarily with the sound.
At intervals, there were lighting devices emitting a ghastly white light, their flickering glow like will-o'-the-wisps, casting an eerie and sinister light upon the surrounding space. A faint metallic odor and the acrid smell of burning energy permeated the air, mingling to create a unique and oppressive atmosphere, like a harbinger of impending death and destruction, filling every corner of the base and instilling fear in everyone present.
Continuing deeper into the base, one comes into view a series of spacious and enormous chambers. These chambers are filled with all sorts of strangely shaped instruments and equipment. Some instruments flash countless indicator lights like a multitude of stars, like pairs of eerie eyes, intently watching every move around them; others continuously spew forth bursts of white mist, slowly flowing and spreading across the ground, like ghosts escaping from the depths of hell, exuding a mysterious and dangerous aura. These chambers resemble mysterious forbidden zones, filled with unknown dangers.
In the heart of the base lies the command center of Frieza's army. The space is vast, with enormous screens occupying an entire wall, displaying a complex jumble of data and galactic maps, clearly showing the Frieza army's sphere of influence in the vast universe and the trajectory of each of their actions. At the very center of the room sits a colossal black throne, carved with bizarre and ferocious creatures. These lifelike figures seem poised to leap from the throne at any moment, ready to devour their prey, adding an intense, suffocating sense of oppression to the throne.
In the treatment area, Vegeta lay inside a treatment chamber that resembled a giant crystal cocoon. Around the chamber were numerous sophisticated medical devices and energy storage units. The chamber was filled with a pale green repair fluid, which constantly churned and surged, seemingly imbued with the power of life, gradually healing Vegeta's numerous injuries.
Vegeta's eyes were tightly shut, his brow furrowed, and a look of pain crossed his face—a pain born of physical injury, but also a reflection of the humiliation he felt. Images of Goku and Sho Yun injuring him flashed through his mind, each detail piercing his pride like steel needles. "Damn Kakarot! Damn Earthlings! How can I, Vegeta, the Saiyan prince, be defeated by you!" His teeth gritted, his anger burning fiercely.
Just then, a soldier rushed in, stopped tremblingly in front of the treatment pod, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Lord Vegeta, you're awake?"
"Hmph! Does Frieza know I'm back?" Vegeta sneered. "Did Frieza send you to tell me to go see him?"
"Lord Vegeta, King Frieza went to Namek before you returned. Before he left, King Frieza said he was very satisfied with the news of the Dragon Balls you brought back, and told you to heal your injuries well. He said he would reward you handsomely after you return with your wish," the soldier said tremblingly.
