Chapter 73 Boruto Uzumaki
Chapter 73 Boruto Uzumaki
After finishing his bowl of noodles, Naruto shouted at Ichiraku Ramen, "Give me another bowl of noodles! This time, I want miso ramen!"
Uncle Ichiraku replied, "Okay, the miso ramen will be here soon, please wait a moment."
"Another bowl, please! This time, I'll have miso chashu ramen!"
......
Naruto looked at the menu at Ichiraku Ramen and ordered everything while eating.
Naruto wolfed down his food, mumbling indistinctly between bites, "So delicious..."
Soon, the ramen on the table was completely eaten up. Naruto patted his round belly contentedly and let out a satisfied burp.
"I'm full, I'm full, thank you for the treat, Perverted Sage..." Naruto was stunned before he could finish speaking.
Where was the lecherous immortal now? In the seat where he had once sat, only a green frog plush toy remained.
Naruto cried out urgently, "What's going on, Boruto?! What do we do? The perverted sage skipped out on the bill, Boruto...?"
But Naruto waited for a while without getting a response from Boruto. When he turned around, he found that Boruto had also disappeared. In his place was a frog doll that was even smaller than Jiraiya's.
Those two guys!!!
Naruto felt like his head was about to explode when, just then, Ayame came out of the kitchen and smiled as she extended her hand to Naruto: "Thank you for your patronage."
Naruto had no choice but to take out his wallet, tears welling up in his eyes, and hand the money inside to Ayame.
That despicable lecherous immortal...
Fortunately, Boruto still had his money for noodles on his table; otherwise, Naruto might not have had enough money to pay the bill.
After paying the bill, Naruto muttered to himself with a bitter expression, "What a terrible day! My wallet's empty again, I'm completely broke..."
Naruto ran into Jiraiya shortly after he stepped out of the store.
Jiraiya laughed and said, "Oh, are you full now?"
Naruto angrily stepped forward and questioned, "Stop joking, you perverted sage! Didn't we agree that you would treat us to this meal?"
Jiraiya put his hands on his hips and said, "Idiot, I never said I was going to invite you from the beginning. It's just your assumption."
Naruto angrily stepped forward and punched Jiraiya in the chest. "Are you even a grown-up? Honestly!"
......
Jiraiya led Boruto and the others onto a secluded mountain path.
"Hey, you perverted sage, will this really summon a frog?" Naruto felt that what he had done today had nothing to do with the summoning jutsu.
Jiraiya replied to Naruto without hesitation, "That's right, absolutely true."
As they walked, Jiraiya suddenly stopped, turned around, and looked at Naruto, asking, "You have no worries now, right?"
Naruto was taken aback by the question and replied with a puzzled look, "Huh?"
Jiraiya repeated what he had just said: "That's all, right?"
Naruto was still confused and asked in bewilderment, "What are you talking about..." Before Naruto could finish speaking, he saw Jiraiya quickly throw a punch and hit himself hard in the stomach.
Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief, then his body slowly collapsed, and he passed out.
Jiraiya then turned his attention to Boruto.
Boruto swallowed hard, wondering if he was going to be subjected to the same treatment as Naruto: "Even training doesn't have to be so intense..."
Jiraiya withdrew his gaze and said, "It is indeed difficult to release and utilize the chakra within one's body at will, and then control it. Naruto is indeed too small as a vessel to withstand the Nine-Tails' chakra."
"So he has to learn to use his body to remember how to open the door." Jiraiya picked up Naruto, who was lying on the floor, and gestured for Boruto to follow.
Naturally, he led Boruto to a place and dropped Naruto on the ground.
Naruto was jolted awake by Jiraiya's shove, and looking around at his unfamiliar surroundings, he asked, "Huh? Where am I?"
"Stand up!" Jiraiya said sternly, "Your training ends here, Naruto! Now die."
"die?"
Jiraiya explained, "Release a huge amount of chakra from the fear of death, find the knack through your own physical experience, and if you don't want to die, find a way yourself."
As he spoke, Jiraiya suddenly pushed hard, and Naruto was caught off guard and pushed several meters away. He lost his balance and was uncontrollably falling backward.
"This..." Boruto was startled. He hadn't expected Jiraiya to go so far. He had carefully observed the surrounding environment and knew that Naruto was about to fall off a cliff!
Naruto's figure plummeted down the cliff, his heart filled with anxiety; if he didn't master the technique, he would lose his life.
Naruto tried to use his chakra to grip the rock wall, but the waterfall had smoothed the rock so much that he couldn't get a grip with his current control over chakra.
All Naruto can do now is rely on Kurama's chakra to try and open that door.
Boruto looked at the bottomless cliff and said with some worry, "Is it really okay to continue like this? What if we fail? We're doomed! Do you have a backup plan?"
Jiraiya didn't answer Boruto's question, but instead said to Boruto, "Alright, before Naruto finds the trick to climb up, let's listen to a story first, Boruto."
Boruto's heart skipped a beat; he had already guessed what Jiraiya was about to say, but he still nodded in agreement, indicating that he was willing to listen.
Boruto calmly said, "What kind of story is it? I'm quite curious."
Jiraiya gazed intently at Boruto, then slowly said, "In that distant sacred mountain, there dwells an ancient immortal whose existence transcends the erosion of time and has endured countless centuries of change. This immortal possesses astonishing prophetic abilities, capable of accurately predicting the future."
"Not long ago, this immortal made a prophecy that a visitor from beyond the heavens has descended upon this world, and he may be able to control the future direction of the ninja world."
Jiraiya paused for a moment, then continued, "I just happened to find someone like that in Konoha. No matter how hard we investigate, we can't trace his past. His origins are shrouded in mystery, leaving no trace. It's as if he appeared out of thin air and suddenly became one of us."
Although Jiraiya did not directly mention his name, Boruto knew that all the signs and hints pointed to him.
"What did you think of the story I told?" Jiraiya looked at Boruto with a half-smile: "Uzumaki... Boruto..."
