Chapter 90 Hyuga Clan Territory
Chapter 90 Hyuga Clan Territory
As the sun was about to set, Uchiha Ye used two shadow clones to send the two little ones home, and only then did she have time to look at the things written on the list.
"Huh... why is it snowing?"
"It's still raining so heavily, looks like I need to buy more things."
Even though she's not cold, it's still necessary to buy her some warm clothes, just in case she needs them.
Passing by the Hyuga clan's territory again, Uchiha Ye decided to go in and take a look. Since she wasn't wearing any clothes with the Uchiha clan crest, as long as she didn't say anything, no one should know that she was from the Uchiha clan.
To avoid being recognized, Uchiha Yoh disguised herself as a five-year-old girl. If she was chased away, she could simply say she was lost—it couldn't be more perfect.
The Hyuga main family is one person per generation, right? Uchiha Ye wandered around for a while and figured out this.
If there were no distinction between the main family and the branch family, the Hyuga clan could have risen to an even higher level.
She couldn't understand why the "Caged Bird" system, which could have simply been designed to prevent the white eyes from being gouged out, would allow the main family to control the branch family's ability. Their vision was really too narrow.
The Byakugan is comparable to the Sharingan, yet in the anime it's only used for reconnaissance, which is a real waste.
Although Uchiha Ye was watching the excitement, he was mostly just strolling around, looking at this and that, having a great time.
Since the two major ocular families in Konoha couldn't stand each other, she had never been here before, so she was still a little curious.
As night deepened, Uchiha Ye prepared to head home.
We've seen the excitement, we've done our shopping, that's enough.
"Is the snow this thick?" Uchiha Ye walked with difficulty.
She hadn't left the Hyuga clan's territory yet, so it was really difficult for her to change back; it was hard to explain.
She had considered the 'Flying Thunder God Technique,' but now that the Byakugan were gathered here, it would be extremely inappropriate to use it.
With a thud, Uchiha Ye fell to the ground.
"It's so embarrassing." She buried her head in the snow and didn't lift it up for a while.
"Huh...it seems like no one's around." A hint of relief flashed across her face as she got up from the snow and sat down.
Uchiha Ye, hands on his hips, unleashed a torrent of abuse at a rock, shouting, "It's you, you stinky rock hidden in the snow, that made me slip and fall!"
"Watch how I beat you up!"
Perhaps because he had been a child for so long, Uchiha Yoh's behavior seemed quite childish, and he was unaware of it.
"It hurts...it hurts...it hurts..."
She had only been hitting the stone a couple of times when, without noticing, she cut her hand.
"......I!"
Uchiha Ye was momentarily speechless, but inwardly comforted himself, "Luckily, no one was around, or I would have been incredibly embarrassed."
This time she didn't linger. She got up from the snow and left the Hyuga clan's territory.
She had clearly forgotten that she had moved the stone to her feet, and with a 'thud,' she tripped and fell again.
"Is this the legendary retribution?" Uchiha Ye rolled over and lay on the snow, utterly speechless.
"Ghost!"
As soon as Uchiha Ye turned over, he was met with a pair of Byakugan eyes, which startled him so much that he sat up abruptly, bumping into the person's head. Both of them covered their heads at the same time.
It took her a while to recover and realize that the child in front of her was a living person. She looked apologetic and said, "I'm sorry, did it hurt a lot?"
"I'm fine, but you should get your hand bandaged," Neji said, pointing to the wound on her hand.
"Ah..." Uchiha Ye looked down and noticed that his hand, which he had just cut, was still bleeding. "Thank you for reminding me. I'll go home and take care of it now."
"Where do you live? Let me take you home. It's not very safe at night," Neji asked, glancing at the darkness.
“No need, my house is right next door.” Uchiha Ye stood up abruptly, and only then did he get a clear look at the child’s face.
"This person looks like Hyuga Neji!" A hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, and her foot, which was about to leave, stopped abruptly. "Can you tell me your name?"
Neji stared at the person in front of him, his mouth slightly agape, "Hyuga Neji!"
"It really is him!"
"It has to be said that even before the caged bird was depicted and his father was still alive, Neji didn't seem so cold; he was actually quite gentle and seemed very easy to get along with."
Uchiha Ye looked at him curiously, almost reaching out to rub his head, but then she remembered that her current appearance was about the same age as Neji, so she forced herself to hold back.
Feeling a little embarrassed by being stared at like that, Hyuga Neji became somewhat shy.
Finally, after watching for a while, Uchiha Ye spoke up, "Thank you for letting me know. I'm going home now."
She said that, then turned and left.
Although she was quite interested in making the acquaintance, she didn't want to cause any trouble.
"Can anyone tell her why she fell again?" Uchiha Ye just wanted to disappear from this game world at that moment.
"Come to my house and get your wound treated!" Neji squatted down and extended his hand in invitation.
An awkward expression once again fell on Uchiha Ye's face, but fortunately, she had a thick skin and agreed after thinking about it.
"It's so big and so empty!" That was her first impression of Neji's house.
Uchiha Ye stared at Neji bandaging her hand wound, remaining quiet for a moment before finally breaking the silence and asking, "Are you home alone?"
"Hmm." Neji responded faintly and then fell silent.
This had no effect on Uchiha Yoru; as long as he responded, that was enough. He continued, "You train every day, huh? I see you have quite a few bruises on your body."
"Would you like me to apply some medicine for the area you can't reach?"
"Need not!"
"I see. Do you get bored cultivating alone?"
"Fortunately."
"When you reply in human language, are you using only two words at a time?"
"No."
Uchiha Ye's eyes narrowed instantly with a smile, but he didn't notice that he had aggravated his wound again, and a flash of pain crossed his face.
Neji was momentarily stunned by that smile, but quickly regained his composure. "Don't move!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his movements became even gentler than before.
Uchiha Ye quickly sat up straight, but before long, his mouth started moving again, "Neji, your house is so big, isn't it tiring to clean it!"
“There are servants.”
What do you eat every day?
"Rice ball!"
"Wow, it's that easy? That's so tragic!"
"I occasionally eat something else too."
Do you have friends?
Upon hearing this, Neji fell silent.
"If not, can I be your first friend?" Uchiha Yoru stared at him with bright, blinking eyes.
"Ah."
She thought she would be rejected, but she was surprised to receive a response and was taken aback.
"It's bandaged up," Neji said again.
"Thank you," Uchiha Ye said, glancing at the bandage on his hand.
"Oh, right, now that we're friends, I'll give you a gift!" she said to herself, and before Neji could respond, she began to cast a spell. This was the first time she had used magic in front of others.
She crossed her arms and waved them, and white light spots slowly appeared and gathered in front of her, soon forming a crystal-clear snowflake ice crystal.
"We met when it was snowing. I'm giving you a snowflake that will never melt, as a wish for our friendship to last forever," Uchiha Ye said, having already prepared his words.
"Thank you!" Neji took the things, still immersed in the shock he had just experienced.
Seeing that Hyuga Neji had accepted the gift, she breathed a sigh of relief. "Neji, I'll head back now."
"I will come to find you."
As he watched the figure disappear from sight, Neji felt a sense of emptiness. "You still haven't told me your name!"
If it weren't for the snowflakes and ice crystals in his hand, he would have thought it was all a dream.
