Chapter 123 Infiltration
Chapter 123 Infiltration
Mikwan was sent by the Supreme Intelligence to investigate the Nine Realms. She chose Vanaheim as her landing point because it had just been conquered by Asgard and its people were unstable, making it the easiest place to infiltrate.
She disguised herself as a refugee and infiltrated a small town in southern Vanaheim. The town was full of Loki's traces of management, with rune watchtowers every 500 meters, capable of recording any abnormal energy fluctuations.
Miyamwa is a professional when it comes to infiltration. She once infiltrated the Skrull planet for seven years. Disguise and infiltration are instincts ingrained in her bones. Within three days, she figured out the guard shift change pattern in the town, and five days later, she made contact with the first Warner who was dissatisfied with Asgard.
The man's name was Einar. He had been a member of the Vanaheim council of nobles. When Loki purged the nobles, his family was stripped of all their lands, his father was executed, and he was exiled to this small town to do hard labor.
When Mi Yanwa arrived, he was drinking alone in a tavern.
"Aina Gulbrandson," Milwaha said in fluent Warnerian, sitting opposite him. "You're very Asgardian, aren't you?"
Aina raised her head, her eyes cloudy, and asked, "Who are you?"
Miyanwa smiled slightly: "Someone who can help you take revenge, as long as you tell me everything about the new king."
Aina stared at her for a long time before slowly saying, "I don't know much, but I've heard one thing: that king wasn't Odin's child, or even from Asgard. He came from a place called Earth, and after Odin's death, he suddenly appeared and conquered everyone with his power."
"And..." Einar lowered his voice, "I heard he has a weakness."
Mi Yanwa narrowed his eyes.
"There's a woman named Wanda," Einar said in a low voice. "She's the only user of chaos magic by his side, and I've heard that his guard drops when she's behind him in the throne room."
After a few seconds of silence, Miyanwa stood up and left a few gold coins on the table: "Thank you for the information. If the rule of Asgard is overthrown one day, you will take back everything that belongs to you."
After leaving the tavern, Miyanwa went to a secluded alley, took out a small communicator from his pocket, and pressed a button: "Supreme Intelligence, we have found a starting point."
The cold voice of the Supreme Intelligence quickly followed: "Speak."
"There's a Chaos magic user named Wanda by Shendu's side; she's the only person he'd be distracted by," Miyanwa said in a low voice. "She's probably the woman who was with him that day. If we could control her or get rid of her..."
After a moment of silence on the other end of the communicator, a cold voice came through: "Denied!"
Mi Yanwa was stunned for a moment: "Why?"
"Based on the energy analysis obtained from the information previously, Wanda's combat power has far exceeded the response range of the Kree Empire's regular army, and the success rate of a direct confrontation is less than one percent."
Mi Yanwa was still unwilling to give up: "Then let's infiltrate from the side. Any emotional infiltration, sowing discord, or creating conflict will create cracks in any organization. The Nine Realms cannot be a solid block."
Another silence followed.
"It's worth a try," the Supreme Intelligence finally said. "Don't risk exposing yourself. Your mission is to gather intelligence, not to assassinate. The Kree Empire needs time."
"I understand." Miyanwa turned off the communicator and rejoined the crowd.
Asgard, the Golden Palace.
The second piece of equipment offered by the dwarves was a bracelet called Spellbinding.
This bracelet was specially made for Wanda by the dwarves. They knew that Wanda was the most loyal servant of the Holy Lord, and making equipment for Wanda was one of their ways to curry favor with the Holy Lord.
After Wanda put on the bracelet, she became a completely different person, not just in terms of power. Chaos magic itself is an extension of emotions and will. When this power was amplified, something deep within Wanda's heart was also amplified. Her loyalty and dependence on Shendu became purer and more unquestionable.
Wanda stood on the training ground outside the Golden Palace, facing twenty elite Asgardian guards.
"Let's go together," Wanda said calmly.
The guards exchanged glances and attacked simultaneously.
Wanda didn't even raise her hand as the attack was about to hit her. With a slight thought, crimson energy exploded from her body, transforming into twenty thin snakes that precisely coiled around each guard. The next second, they were thrown away heavily.
Hela stood at the edge of the training field, watching this scene with a complex expression. Wanda's chaos magic was not acquired through cultivation, but through emotions; the stronger the emotions, the stronger the power.
The emotions Wanda expressed were almost entirely focused on Saint Seiya.
"This power that has been completely tamed," Hela whispered. "It's both terrifying and pathetic."
After experiencing the new power, Wanda returned to the Golden Palace and happened to run into Shendu coming out of the throne room.
"Master." Wanda immediately stopped and bowed her head slightly.
The Holy Lord glanced at her, his gaze landing on the bracelet on her wrist: "How does it feel?"
"Better than ever before." Wanda raised her head, a hint of fanaticism in her eyes: "The spell binding not only amplified my power, but also made my senses much clearer. I can now sense the emotions of everyone within a radius of several kilometers—fear, loyalty, hostility…everything."
The Holy Lord nodded: "Is there anything unusual?"
Wanda closed her eyes, and crimson energy emanated from her body, spreading outwards. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes.
"Everything is normal inside the Golden Palace." Wanda looked in the direction of Vanaheim: "There is a faint emotional fluctuation in the direction of Vanaheim. Something is not right. It doesn't seem like fear or hostility. It's more like a scheme. Someone is plotting something."
The Holy Lord narrowed his eyes slightly: "Hela."
Hela emerged from the shadows: "Master."
"Go to Vanaheim and investigate," the Holy Lord said calmly. "Wandakan has learned of the anomaly; someone may have infiltrated."
Hela nodded and disappeared into the Rainbow Bridge.
Huanaheim, a border town.
When Hela arrived, Miyanwa had already left, but Hela still sensed a trace of his presence.
"Aliens can light up." Hela opened her eyes, a cold smile playing on her lips. "Interesting."
Hela walked into the town's tavern, found the bartender, and slammed a handful of gold coins on the table: "Has any stranger been here in the last three days?"
The bartender glanced at the gold coins and swallowed hard. "There was... there was a woman who spoke fluent Warnerian, but it was so standard that I was sure it wasn't her native language. She chatted with Eina for a long time."
Where is Eina?
The bartender pointed to the corner.
Hela walked over and saw Einar lying face down on the table, completely drunk. She grabbed Einar's hair and lifted his head up.
"What did that woman ask?"
