The Ultra Warriors immediately began compiling a prisoner transfer list, and a few of them went out to clear out the wandering samurai. Their level of professionalism put even Kokoro Sango and Sara Kujo to shame.
Raiden Shin looked at the newly renovated castle tower and suddenly chuckled, "It seems... we really can make it even bigger."
She turned and winked at her sister.
"For example, abolishing the lockdown order?"
Before Ray could answer, Guilliman was already speaking to Beidou and her crew: "Regarding the free trade agreement between the two countries..."
Chapter 48 Capturing Scattered Soldiers Alive
The dawn of Inazuma came brighter than ever before.
In just forty-eight standard hours, Guilliman and his twenty Ultra Warriors had completed the complete transformation of the island nation.
The wandering samurai who once ravaged various places—whether they were sea monsters forced by life or wild savages who had fallen into banditry—are now either wearing neat work clothes and receiving training in newly built factories, or have turned into a wisp of smoke on the coastline.
"The acceptance inspection of resettlement site No. 137 has been completed."
Marius Gage's data panel flashed blue.
"782 people passed the assessment, and those who were executed... this number is not important."
The new recruits of Skybound Guard stared in disbelief at the demonstration on the training field—two Ultra Warriors were teaching counterinsurgency tactics.
The moment the scarecrow playing the bandit appeared a hundred meters away, the roar of the slingshot gun rang out.
Even more terrifying was the close-combat demonstration, where a training greatsword was swung by an Ultramarine with one hand, leaving afterimages, and the dummy was directly blown into a sky full of wood chips.
"Now you understand why a policy of taking prisoners is unnecessary?"
Auguston patted the young warrior on the shoulder, who was nodding vigorously.
------
A textbook-perfect raid is unfolding at the island's pier.
"In the name of the Emperor!"
Hill's powerful punch shattered the shields of the Fools' advance team. Amidst the roar of the bomb gun, four debt collectors were reduced to humanoid bloodstains on the wall before they could even draw their weapons.
The two accompanying Ultra Warriors were even more incredibly efficient.
Their back-to-back barrage of fire was like the Grim Reaper's scythe, each explosive shell precisely piercing the Fools' evil eye device.
A lightning sorcerer attempted to release a mist flower, but was instead smashed into a wall by an Ultramariner wearing Terminator power armor, along with the insect, using his power gauntlets.
"Identify high-value targets."
Hill's sensors suddenly locked onto the purple figure on the roof.
Before the skirmishers could even taunt, they were pinned to the ground by a gravity grenade that suddenly flew in.
When he struggled to lift his head, all he saw was the dark muzzle of a bomb gun and Hill's emotionless, mechanical voice:
"Surrender or become a decorative painting."
------
"Scattered soldiers? Fools? My nephew?"
The lightning was so soft it was as if afraid of startling something.
She slowly turned her head and looked at her younger sister, who was huddled in the corner reading "Reincarnated as the Thunder General and Invincible Under Heaven".
Her gentle voice carried a dangerous tremor.
"Why did the puppet you made turn into an executive officer of the Fools?"
Lei looked up blankly from the light novel.
"I...I abandoned him and never took care of him again."
"Abandoned?!"
The calligraphy brush in Raiden's hand snapped in two with a "crack".
The stragglers sneered, letting General Thunder curiously poke his face: "Why are you pretending to care now? Didn't you say back then that 'dolls shouldn't have feelings'?"
Lei Yingdian lowered his head, his fingers unconsciously turning the pages of the book: "Back then...back then I needed a doll that could perfectly execute eternity, but he...he shed tears..."
Her voice grew quieter.
"That's why I became a general again..."
"So you just threw him away?!"
Raiden grabbed his sister's ear.
"Is creating life such a casual thing?!"
"Ouch! Ouch! I'm sorry, sister!"
Just as the two sisters were struggling, Gage's mechanical voice suddenly interrupted: "Additional intelligence: we have captured a slice of the Doctor's body. The think tank has confirmed this after extracting his memories—"
He brought up a holographic projection.
"The truth behind the death of a human named Niwa should be helpful."
The soldiers' expressions froze instantly.
In the projection, a doctor using the pseudonym "Escher" is stabbing a dagger into the back of a dark-haired man.
As the scene progresses, it becomes clear that the doctor places the heart into a special container and then... hands it to the elegantly dressed Kabuki.
"Danwa...he didn't betray me...?"
The voice of the stragglers suddenly sounded unlike their own.
The Ultra Warrior's think tank stepped forward: "According to memory extraction, Hisahide Niwa confronted Dotole to protect the Tatara sand artisans, and was ultimately killed by them."
A cold light gleamed from his goggles.
"The 'purification device' that the doctor tricked you into wearing was actually made from Niwa's heart."
"No...this is impossible!"
The stragglers suddenly sprang into action, and lightning shattered the restraints on their bodies.
"Niwa is clearly—"
Gage slammed him back to the ground with a powerful punch: "The think tank doesn't lie to you."
The think tank used psychic energy to imprison the skirmisher, sealing the elemental power within him, and then placed his hand on the skirmisher's forehead, implanting his memories into him.
When the think tank's iron hand pressed against the soldier's forehead, all the memories flooded back—Niwa's dying smile, the lies under the doctor's scalpel, and the heart that had been made into a purifier and discarded by him as a mockery of Niwa.
"Dottore..."
The soldiers' voices suddenly became eerily calm, yet the lightning in their eyes seemed to burn through their sockets.
"Hahahaha! Dotole! Dotole!!"
As the skirmisher was dragged away by the scruff of his collar like a kitten by the Ultramarines, his hysterical roar could be heard throughout the entire castle tower:
"Dottore! I'm going to stuff every single piece of you into the incinerator! I'm going to blow your disgusting lab to smithereens!"
The door to the solitary confinement cell blocked out the subsequent profanity.
The extreme warrior in charge of guarding the area calmly adjusted the soundproofing: "Standard reaction of a rebellious teenager, 72-hour cooling-off period recommended."
Raiden rubbed his throbbing temples: "That slice..."
"He has been executed."
Gage pulls up the holographic recording, which shows the doctor's slice being blasted into pieces by a bomb gun.
"After the think tank extracted all the memories, they discovered that he was using the energy of the evil spirits to conduct human experiments on the sand."
The footage switches to another recording: five Ultra Warriors raid an underground laboratory, and in the flash of their explosive guns, a dozen experimental subjects in incubation chambers are dissolving.
"All sections have been confirmed to have been cleared."
Gage's data panel was flashing blue light.
"Including slice number 3 disguised as a merchant, slice number 7 in the laboratory, and..."
"Slice number 13, which turned into a wild boar."
Yae no Miko spat out the tea she had just drunk: "Wait, a wild boar?!"
"His experimental log shows that he wanted to study the superiority of animal forms."
Gage played the video with a blank expression—a wild boar wearing small glasses was writing a lab report with its hooves, and was then cleaved in two by a power sword.
Looking at the screen, at the boar-shaped carcasses scattered everywhere, Raiden suddenly felt incredibly weary: "So now..."
"Dotorre's crimes have been publicized through the nationwide broadcasting system."
Gage pressed the button, and a giant notice was immediately projected onto the outer wall of the castle tower:
[Wanted by the Kingdom of Winter]
Dr. Doutore is suspected of the following crimes:
1. Human experimentation (including vivisection, organ transplantation, etc.)
2. Creating the Evil Eye (resulting in over a thousand deaths)
3. Impersonating wild animals (violating Article 37 of the Inazuma City Appearance Management Regulations)
Note: All existing slides have been destroyed. We welcome reports of any remaining slides.
Lei Movie muttered to himself, "Isn't the third one a bit...?"
"Is that the point?!"
Raiden grabbed his sister's cheek.
"Look at the mess you made back then! Your nephew became a terrorist, Inazuma was almost brought down by the Fools, and now you have to trouble others to clean up the mess!"
Guilliman then stepped forward and interjected, "No need for thanks, it's the duty of a consul."
He glanced at the island's pier, which was under reconstruction.
"However, I suggest changing the charge of 'impersonating wild animals' to 'endangering ecosystem security,' which would be more..."
