Chapter 32 Magic Learning
Chapter 32 Magic Learning
Three weeks later, the House of Response will be there.
This is a comfortable room designed like a study.
The two rows of bookshelves on the left and right were piled high with all sorts of books and notes—none of them of much value, seemingly extracurricular books left behind by former students.
Opposite the door, a floor-to-ceiling window stands, with magic simulating a raging storm outside. Against this backdrop, the room, with its expensive wool carpet and a roaring fire in the fireplace, appears exceptionally warm and cozy.
On the soft sofa, Vaughn closed the book in his hand and rubbed his eyes.
"system!"

[Reputation Points: 22]
Looking at the changes in the magic scale and reputation points, Vaughn suddenly realized.
A month has already passed!
Since receiving Snape's permission to borrow advanced books from the restricted section, he has spent most of his time in the Room of Requirement, except when attending classes.
After painstakingly studying it until now, I've finally come to an end.
Vaughn put down the book, let out a long sigh, shook his head which was throbbing from prolonged concentration, and looked at the system panel.
The notifications about the new spells and potions instantly brought joy to his dormant heart.
These are things he couldn't access no matter how hard he tried over the past few years. Even relatively common spells like the Shattering Spell and the Forgetting Spell lacked learning channels on the market.
Because these are spells restricted by the Ministry of Magic, wild wizards have no chance of learning them unless they attend a legitimate school like Hogwarts where students are registered and recorded with the Ministry.
Wild wizards are not uncommon in the magical world. They may have been bitten as children and turned into werewolves, vampires, or other creatures, or they may be unidentified black wizards who have wandered from foreign lands.
Not all dark wizards are as "high-end" as Death Eaters; many are petty thieves who operate in the gray areas.
To Vaughn's surprise, Snape actually allowed him to borrow a book on dark magic.
The book "A First Look at Black Magic" mostly contained simple poison spells and curses, but at the end of the book, someone added a page of handwritten content.
The inscription on it reads "Divine Sharpness Without Shadow" and the antidote "Quick Healing," as well as the Fierce Fire Curse!
Vaughn didn't need to think to know who had been added.
As expected of a former Death Eater, he has no aversion to dark magic.
Of course, the other party wouldn't dare to be so reckless as to make Vaughn learn the Unforgivable Curse right now.
However, Vaughn was already quite satisfied. If it weren't for Snape's help, he probably wouldn't have been able to learn these spells for another four or five years.
As for black magic, perhaps the only way to obtain it is to follow the example of those wild wizards and go to Knockturn Alley or the black market to find people in the underworld.
There would be too many unexpected things. The underworld is full of swindlers and villains. It's better to be cheated out of your money than to be cheated by a dark wizard.
After staring at the system panel for a while, the brief excitement wore off, and Vaughn rubbed his forehead:
"There are too many new spells. If I practice them myself, it will take a long time. The ideal way is to use reputation points to level up one or two levels first, reach the beginner or proficient level, and then practice on my own."
"22 reputation points are simply not enough... We need to open up new sources!"
With that thought, Vaughn no longer hesitated and put all his points into "Scarpin Manifestation Charm", raising it to LV2 (10/16) in one go.
This spell will greatly help him develop potions, which in turn will help him increase his reputation points and monthly earnings.
While you're still in school, investing all your reputation points in it is undoubtedly the most effective approach.
After adding the points, Vaughn took out a bottle of scabies medicine, poured it into a glass, and with a light flick of his wand, uttered the spell with practiced ease, as if he had rehearsed it a thousand times:
"Revelaspell!"
His vision suddenly changed, and the cup of medicine he saw began to glow!
Various colors float on the surface of light, mixed together yet incredibly clear and distinct.
Vaughn suddenly had a feeling that he could dismantle this already formed potion!
So he waved his wand again—
The blue liquid in the cup immediately split into several clumps under a mysterious force. Their colors rapidly changed, transforming from pure blue to gradually reverting to the colors of materials such as snake fangs and dried nettles.
The ritual that brought the potions to fruition was disrupted by a spell, and then, under the influence of the spell, they were restored to their original state as best they could.
Vaughn observed for a moment, then poured out the scabies medicine.
It's useless now; the Scarpin Reveal Charm can only restore, not recreate, the potion.
"What an amazing spell! I wonder how that wizard named Scarpin developed it?"
"It's a pity he's been dead for so long, his ashes probably can't even be found..."
After cleaning up and getting rid of the trash, Vaughn stretched and prepared to go back to his dorm to sleep.
Starting tomorrow, he will begin the production and development of magic potions.
He already has some ideas in this area and is ready to make a name for himself!
Then, as he left the Room of Requirement, he encountered Dumbledore...
The greatest white wizard of this century, dressed in a pinkish-purple robe and wearing a childlike nightcap, stood on the eighth-floor corridor, pretending to bump into him.
"Ah—Mr. Vaughn Weasley, good evening. Are you here to use the restroom too?"
"...?"
Vaughn paused for a moment.
Dumbledore smiled and continued, "So you've discovered this place too. How amazing! I've walked this path countless times in my centuries at Hogwarts, until one day I was in a hurry to use the toilet, and suddenly a room appeared in this wall, filled with all sorts of toilets that I love. Thank you, Merlin, this has been my favorite place ever since!"
That old guy is playing dumb again...
Vaughn quickly realized what was going on and, with a smile, bowed, saying, "What a wonderful room. It's a pity I'm not here to use the toilet. I'm still young and don't need it at night, Headmaster Dumbledore."
Dumbledore seemed not to notice the book he was carrying, and smiled as he exchanged pleasantries: "Yes, I am quite old after all, and cannot compare with the young, but I still think you should give it a try when you have the time."
Vaughn shrugged. "I probably won't be coming anytime soon."
"Oh? Why?"
"I've almost finished reading the books. I'm going to start developing potions and refining my theories. I'm sorry to disappoint you, Headmaster."
"Severus has been praising you to me, Slytherin's potions genius."
Vaughn smiled: "It's all thanks to Professor Snape and your kindness. It's getting late, Headmaster, I need to go back and rest. Good night."
Goodnight, Mr. Weasley.
Two foxes, one big and one small, greeted each other and parted ways, as if it were just a chance encounter and ordinary casual conversation.
