"That's not a dragon egg."
Looking at the egg in front of her, Xia Lulu spoke.
This made Natsu immediately pull the egg back into his arms. He looked at the white cat in front of him with a wary expression, almost baring his teeth.
"The child is right, Natsu."
Before Natsu could even get angry, Makarov, who was sitting at the bar, interrupted him. Makarov had been looking for an opportunity to tell the truth, and now was undoubtedly a good one.
"ah?!"
Natsu was now in a bad mood, and he looked at Makarov with disbelief.
"Click click click!"
However, before Natsu could cause any trouble, the egg changed, began to shake violently, and its shell started to crack.
"She's about to be born."
Moen stared at the egg; he already had a premonition.
"Click click click!"
As the egg began to crack, everyone eagerly gathered around.
For the past few days, Natsu has been carrying this egg everywhere he goes, so everyone in the guild is quite familiar with it. Many people have even held and touched it, and everyone is looking forward to seeing what will hatch from it.
As for dragons, very few people actually believe it.
"Buzz!"
As the eggshell shattered, a blue orb of light flew up to the ceiling.
"Wow!"
Everyone gasped in surprise. The ball of light wasn't very big; it was clearly a small creature, about half the size of an egg.
As the light faded and dimmed, a blue cat with wings appeared.
"cat?!"
This result surprised everyone; everyone except Xia Lulu and Mo En gaped in astonishment.
After all, before the actual results are in, probably no one could have guessed that a cat would hatch from this egg. Is that really reasonable?
"It's grown wings!"
Natsu, who was initially disappointed that the hatched creature was not a dragon, was no longer disappointed after seeing the winged cat. He watched the cat flying in the sky with curiosity.
"It's a blue cat!"
Under everyone's watchful eyes, the little blue cat flapped its wings and wobbled down onto Natsu's head. It wasn't very big, and the size of the cat was just right when it was on Natsu's head.
"like!"
The kitten's white wings disappeared, and it sat up abruptly, letting out a cry—not a "meow," but a "love." This adorable scene melted the hearts of everyone in the guild, and a group of people gathered around, wanting to hug it.
"This little thing is so cute!"
The adults in the guild crowded around, reaching out to touch this and that. This life that everyone was watching hatch seemed to have a different meaning, which piqued everyone's interest.
"Hey, she looks a bit like Xia Lulu!"
Someone noticed something interesting: this blue cat does indeed look somewhat similar to Xia Lulu, as if they are the same species.
"Xia Lulu, is he of the same race as you?"
Wendy looked at Xia Lulu curiously. When she met Xia Lulu, Xia Lulu was already in this form, so she really didn't know that Xia Lulu had hatched from an egg.
"Yes."
Xia Lulu said with a helpless expression, although she really didn't want to admit that this male cat was of the same kind, but the fact was undeniable.
"That's great! Now Xia Lulu has a playmate!"
Wendy said happily, unaware of Charlotte's dislike for the male cat.
"I don't need a playmate like that; he looks like an idiot."
Xia Lulu muttered a complaint under her breath. She did think that male cat was pretty silly. She had already understood a lot of things when she was born, but this guy was so stupid that all he knew was "love".
Let's give him a name.
Seeing everyone crowding together to see Harpy in perfect harmony, Moen smiled and made a suggestion, which was immediately supported by everyone. The guild members started brainstorming names all at once.
"Let's call him Blue Cat!"
"Why didn't you just say 'cat'?"
"How about calling her Little Blue?"
"How about calling it Blue Dragon? Hasn't Natsu always wanted to be a dragon?"
Everyone was talking nonsense; not a single one of them was reliable.
"Ahem, how about we call him Happy?"
Seeing that the name was getting weirder and weirder, Moen quickly said that he couldn't change Harby's name. Looking at the little blue cat who was still sleeping with his eyes closed, Moen decided to grant his request and let him call him Harby again.
"Harpy?"
The crowd was somewhat surprised, wondering why Moen would suddenly mention this name.
"Because of his birth, everyone became happier, so let's call him Happy, isn't that great? It sounds festive too."
Moen blinked and gave his reason.
It was thanks to his incredibly intelligent mind that he was able to come up with a decent reason to guide everyone.
"like!"
Before anyone could react, Happy, who had been quiet all along, let out a shout, as if he were agreeing with Moen's suggestion.
"Okay! Let's call him Happy! Happiness! Joy!"
Seeing that Happy had agreed, Natsu immediately decided on the name.
As the person who found and hatched the egg, Natsu naturally has the right to name the blue cat first, and no one can force him to call it another name if he disagrees.
"Harpy! Harpy! It's Harpy the dragon!"
Natsu held Happy up and shouted happily, while Happy echoed with "love" repeatedly, creating a very harmonious and loving scene.
Wearing a wizard's hat, Lydas holds a paintbrush and sketchbook, recording this beautiful moment, though his painting has been heavily artistically modified.
Happy, who was lifted high by Natsu, was drawn as a small blue dragon, and Natsu rode on the back of this fierce-looking blue dragon.
"Not bad, you've helped Natsu fulfill his dream."
Moen approached Lidas and commented.
"It's normal for paintings to have some artistic embellishment."
Lidas smiled. He had curly hair and wore a wizard's hat, giving him a very artistic look. Now that he didn't need to use magic, he had returned to his thin appearance and looked much more normal than the inflatable fat man he had been before.
Moen looked closely at the painting on Lidas's canvas. Everyone was in the painting, and everyone had a smile on their face.
Well, except for Laxus.
Even in Lidas's paintings, Laxus always has a stern face and looks uninterested in these matters.
"Remember to draw a smiley face on him next time, Rydas."
Moen pointed to Laxus standing in the corner of the painting and said to Lydas with a smile, "Everyone is laughing, but Laxus has a straight face, making him look like he doesn't fit in."
"Wouldn't this be a bit too much of an artistic exaggeration?"
Lidas paused for a moment, then spoke hesitantly.
"."
Moen was speechless for a moment, looking at Lidas with a helpless expression. Was he even speaking human language?
Drawing a smile on Laxus's face is more artistically exaggerated than drawing Harpy as a blue dragon, right?
