"Don't worry, I'm here."
Saeko Busujima drew her katana and walked at the front of the group.
Zhou Ye followed closely behind, with Nami and Jill flanking him on either side.
The group walked cautiously down the corridor, the red dot on the [Heat Source Detector] flashing incessantly.
There are three in front.
Zhou Ye pointed at the screen and said.
"Leave it to me."
Saeko Busujima whispered something and quickened her pace.
Soon, they saw the three zombies.
They staggered down the corridor, dressed in tattered clothes, their faces covered in signs of decay.
Upon seeing Zhou Ye and his group, the zombies let out a low growl and pounced on them.
Without the slightest hesitation, Saeko Busujima swung her sword at the foremost zombie.
With a flash of light, the zombie's head flew off instantly, the headless corpse swayed a few times, and fell to the ground.
The remaining two zombies were easily dealt with by Saeko Busujima.
Her knife skills were superb; every strike was precise, hitting the zombie's vital points cleanly and decisively, without the slightest hesitation.
"Wow, that's amazing. I can't believe he's a high school student."
Gil watched Saeko Busujima's skills and couldn't help but admire them.
"No problem, I've been training in my family's kendo dojo since I was a child, it's second nature to me."
Saeko Busujima sheathed her sword and said calmly.
"Let's keep going."
Zhou Ye said, continuing to walk forward while holding the [Heat Source Detector].
They traveled at a leisurely pace, stopping frequently, and whenever they encountered zombies, Saeko Busujima would handle them.
The heat source detector helped them avoid many unnecessary battles, saving them a lot of time and energy.
Furthermore, they also discovered special STARS markings belonging to Jill and her crew along the way, indicating that there was danger or a need for support.
"There's a STARS sign here; Barry should be nearby."
Jill said, pointing to a door at the end of the corridor.
"I made a promise with him that if we got separated, we would meet here."
Go take a look, but be careful.
Zhou Ye said, gesturing for Saeko Busujima to be on guard.
The group walked to the door, and Jill took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
The room was empty.
"Barry?"
Jill called out, but there was no response.
"It seems he's not here."
Zhou Ye said, raising the [Heat Source Detector] and scanning around.
"Wait, there's a heat source reaction here, alert!"
He pointed to a wardrobe in the corner of the room.
"Could Barry be hiding inside?"
Jill walked forward with some doubt and carefully opened the wardrobe.
The wardrobe was completely empty; there was nothing inside.
“Strange, the heat source detector clearly shows that there is a heat source reaction here.”
Zhou Ye said with a frown.
"Could it be...?"
Jill suddenly realized something, and her expression changed.
"Be careful up there!"
She yelled and jumped back.
Just then, a Licker suddenly jumped down from the top of the wardrobe!
It has huge claws and sharp teeth, and its scarlet tongue is stretched out long, making it look terrifying.
"Fuck!"
Zhou Ye exclaimed in surprise and quickly dodged backward.
The Licker missed its target and immediately pounced on Zhou Ye after landing.
"court death!"
Nami roared and pulled a gem from her waist, throwing it at the Licker.
The gem struck the licker, instantly unleashing a powerful burst of cold air.
The Licker's body was frozen by the cold air, turning into an ice sculpture.
"Well done, Nami!"
Zhou Ye exclaimed in admiration.
"No problem."
Nami said smugly.
"How long can this thing keep frozen?"
"At most a few minutes."
Nami said.
"It must be resolved as soon as possible."
As Zhou Ye spoke, he took out a shotgun from his spatial storage, intending to perform a craniotomy.
"Let me handle this. Zhou Yejun, conserve your bullets as much as possible. We don't even know how many zombies and ghosts are left."
As Saeko Busujima spoke, she drew her knife and approached the frozen Licker.
"No, lend me the knife. Some things I have to take the first step myself."
Saeko Busujima didn't speak, but handed the katana to Zhou Ye. After taking the katana, he took a deep breath, concentrated all his strength on the sword, and swung it out fiercely.
A flash of light, and the ice sculpture shattered instantly.
The Licker's body was also cut in two and fell to the ground.
[Ding! Eliminated the biological weapon Licker. 100 points credited.]
Zhou Ye returned the knife and said calmly.
"Done."
Jill looked at the shattered Licker, a hint of anxiety in her voice:
"This place is too dangerous. There are monsters everywhere, and the Lower Crescent Moon Demon Lei hasn't appeared yet. We must leave here as soon as possible."
Zhou Ye nodded, and another blue cartoon cat-head heat source detector appeared in his hand, but this time he placed it on the unmanned mechanical dog on land.
"We were just looking for a place to rest, but we didn't get a moment's respite. This time, with the robotic dog leading the way, it should be much safer."
Jill and Saeko Busujima exchanged a knowing glance. Zhou Ye and Nami had a secret, but since the other party wasn't going to tell them, they shouldn't ask. They should play dumb when necessary.
at the same time.
Deep underground in the mansion, in a monitoring room filled with a cold, high-tech feel.
Dozens of screens flickered, mostly displaying static or distorted, interfering images.
Only a few screens clearly displayed the interior of the mansion.
Albert Wesker, wearing his signature black trench coat and sunglasses, stood in front of the surveillance wall.
His fingers tapped on the console, bringing up a screen.
The image shows Zhou Ye, Nami, Saeko Busujima, and Jill leaving the room and walking down the corridor.
"They dealt with the Lickers."
Wesker's voice was steady, devoid of emotion.
"It's a little faster than expected."
Sitting on the chair next to him was a figure who looked like a child.
With white hair, pale skin, and strange spiderweb-like patterns on his face, he was none other than the fifth rank of the Lower Moon, Lei.
Lei raised his head, his blood-red eyes looking at the screen Wesker had brought up.
"That woman with the knife..."
He tilted his head, seemingly trying to make a recognition.
"Yes, the Water Breathing Technique."
His tired voice carried an indifference that didn't match his appearance.
"I know this place well; the Demon Slayer Corps is involved too. Those persistent ghosts."
He paused, then looked at another screen, which displayed blurry fragments of the previous battle in the restaurant, mainly vines and flames.
"That useless plant manipulator died so quickly."
There was no regret in his tired tone, only contempt for the loser.
"He gave away his own life as soon as he entered the game; that was really ugly."
