Chapter 54: Not only Spider-Man can take on missions
Chapter 54: Not only Spider-Man can take on missions
Stark Tower.
Tony's private airport.
"Are you two sure you want to take this mission?"
At this moment, Happy, who hadn't waited for Spider-Man, met Mark instead.
And there's Wade Wilson.
The two stood in front of Happy, their faces full of confidence.
"Of course, we already have the latest intelligence." Wade, carrying two swords on his back, looked cold.
Happy frowned. "Latest intelligence?"
"Yes."
Mark crossed his arms and chuckled, "As everyone knows, I'm a mage."
"Who are you?" Happy asked.
mark:"........"
Don't you watch the news?
He switched to his demon hunter outfit on the spot, "Watch closely, I am..."
"I understand, you are a paladin."
Happy interrupted Mark, then put on his standard smile.
"Sorry, you weren't wearing any clothes, I almost didn't recognize you."
mark:"......."
This guy is treating me like I'm nothing!
"You'd better rephrase your words," he said with a dark expression.
Happy apologized again, "I'm so sorry, I saw your news, Mark Parker, a freshman at Imperial University, and also an atheist paladin."
"Yeah, that's what everyone says online." Happy tapped his headset lightly.
Mark rolled his eyes. "In-person tutoring, huh?"
Happy wasn't embarrassed at all. "This is a basic professional skill."
"Alright, I'm not going to waste my breath on you."
Mark looked at the planes at the airport. "Wade and I are here to rescue Tony Stark. Although we don't have a deposit, we still need the necessary funding."
Wade chimed in, "That's right, we don't have any money on us. Can we get reimbursed in advance?"
He looked at Happy with anticipation.
Happy glanced at Little Chili.
Chili Pepper glanced at Mark and nodded, saying, "No problem. Mr. Mark is a powerful paladin capable of defeating the lizardmen. I can agree to your conditions."
In her and Happy's plan, the person with the best chance of finding Tony is Spider-Man.
Spider-Man's behavior is unpredictable, but he is incredibly powerful.
Being strong doesn't guarantee finding Tony, but being strong also allows you to accurately target enemies and resolve problems.
During this time, she and Happy had compiled the entire course of the Green Goblin incident.
That's how they discovered this seemingly irregular pattern.
They guessed that if Spider-Man wanted to find Tony, he definitely could.
Spider-Man is elusive, and no one knows when he will appear.
They can't wait for Spider-Man, and they don't mind letting others try.
So they agreed to hire Wade, this seemingly unreliable mercenary.
Because it's unreliable, there's no hope, and therefore no deposit.
However, with the addition of the paladin, a glimmer of hope began to grow in Little Chili's heart.
Mark Parker was able to defeat the lizard monster, so his strength isn't much weaker than Spider-Man's.
Perhaps this time there is a chance.
Thinking about this, Little Chili thought of something else.
She looked at Happy, "Let them all come together!"
Happy raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"
"Of course, there's no time."
"Oh well!"
Happy tapped his headset lightly, "You guys come on up!"
Before long, a familiar figure arrived at the airport.
"Oh, it's you."
Mark saw the young Agent Hill.
He had met the other person when he was at S.H.I.E.L.D.
Agent Hill was somewhat puzzled.
"You're here too?"
"I'm here to take on the mission."
"Task?"
Agent Hill flinched. "Spider-Man!" she exclaimed, instinctively stepping back.
Mark couldn't understand.
He shrugged and said, "Spider-Man isn't here. I'm a mercenary now, temporarily."
Upon hearing this, Agent Hill finally realized what was happening.
I seem to be overly sensitive.
Spider-Man takes on missions while playing games, and mercenaries do the same.
The two are not the same concept.
She exhaled and looked at Happy and Chili.
"You agreed?"
"Yes."
Happy pointed at Mark and Wade, then said to Agent Hill:
"Thank you for helping us find Tony. It's good that you can come along too."
Agent Hill frowned. "You had them spying on us; you don't trust our sincerity."
Wade was also excited.
"You let her spy on us; you don't trust our sincerity!"
He pointed at Happy's nose and cursed, "You gluttonous crab, I didn't even ask for a deposit, you bitch!"
"Bitch, don't call other people bitches."
Mark pulled Wade back, then looked at the crowd.
"I have no objection to working together, but I will not share my intelligence."
Agent Hill replied coldly, "Neither will we."
"That would be even better." Mark glanced at the agents.
Happy explained earnestly, "Sorry, everyone, this isn't surveillance. It's not that I don't trust you, but I just feel that your chances of success are greater if you work together."
"I can barely believe your reasoning," Agent Hill finally said, giving up.
Mark shrugged. "I understand, after all, Wade and I have no reason to keep an eye on these agents for you."
Seeing this, Little Chili had someone bring over the tactical equipment for this mission.
Bulletproof vests, helmets, and various firearms.
"I have faith in the quality of Stark Industries' equipment," she said earnestly.
Wade's eyes lit up when he saw the equipment.
"Oh my god, this is the latest Stark micro-bomb, and the Stark 9 armor-piercing round! Wow, this is something I've wanted for so long..."
He clung to the equipment, refusing to let go, and almost kissed it.
Mark wasn't interested in these devices and had no idea how powerful they were.
It should be just average.
After all, this is the Marvel universe.
The gap between cutting-edge technology and normal technology is infinitely large.
Agent Hill and his team didn't waste any time; they quickly changed into their gear.
They knew that with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s budget, it would be difficult to equip them with such the latest weapons and equipment.
Soon, at Happy's signal, everyone boarded the plane together.
"Boom!"
As the private plane quickly disappeared into the night sky, Mark and Wade began to discuss their next tactics.
Agent Hill always followed Nick Fury's orders.
"Commander, we have already taken action."
"very good."
In the command center, Nick Fury was already prepared to work overtime through the night.
Tony Stark's disappearance is not something to be taken lightly.
After all, the Osborne incident had just happened.
Because of Norman, the Osborne Group has completely lost the trust of those above them.
Therefore, only Stark Industries remains as the leading military industrial company.
Although Stark Industries can still operate normally after Tony's accident, Nick Fury will have to bear the pressure of public opinion.
He didn't want to live in fear anymore.
So he stared at the moving red dot on the virtual screen and raised his hand to bring up a map of the Middle East.
"Stark disappeared in the vicinity, and our men have already gone there ahead of time."
However, someone still needs to act on Happy's intelligence; that would increase the chances of finding Stark.
Agent Hill nodded. "Understood."
She glanced at Mark and Wade's retreating figures and continued, "Mark also participated in this mission."
"Mark Parker?"
Nick Fury frowned. "Does he know Stark?"
"No, he's only in it for the money."
"Keep a close eye on him."
Nick Fury narrowed his one eye slightly. "If Spider-Man shows up near him this time, then it means..."
