Chapter 47: The Train to School
Chapter 47: The Train to School
"Clang~ Clang~ Clang~"
Listening to the sound of the train, Loila, leaning against the train window, pursed her lips.
This was her first time riding a train, whether it was a magic train or a Muggle train... Durmstrang always took a boat to start school.
Every time, Loila would vomit all the way due to seasickness... but fortunately, she was usually not allowed to sit in the cabin, so she could lie on the deck and easily vomit into the sea.
Looking at the scenery along the way, Loila subconsciously felt a little nervous.
I'm almost at Hogwarts. Even though I'm not a student, the teachers are definitely more frightening.
Will Dumbledore give a special introduction? Do I need to introduce myself?
Or is it that I need to give some kind of speech? Like Mr. Lockhart?
Loila saw today's newspaper, which featured a smiling Mr. Lockhart and... Harry Potter, who apparently had a successful book signing at Flourish and Blotts yesterday.
Hmm, thinking about it now, the student I met yesterday was actually Harry Potter... It's hard to imagine that such a child could defeat Voldemort back then.
Voldemort, are you even capable of this...?
Loila shook her head, no longer wanting to think about this person who had been dead for many years, or about anything related to Hogwarts.
Memorizing magic array knowledge when under pressure is a good option.
"By linking the memory magic circle with the transfer magic circle, it becomes possible to share memories with others..."
"However, this requires selecting memories in advance, otherwise it may randomly extract a memory from the brain... such as some things that are not easy to be seen by others."
"The best material for outlining the magic circle is also fire dragon blood, but the blood of a half-Vessel can also be used, but whether the effect will be reduced over time is unknown..."
"Clatter!"
"!"
The carriage door was suddenly pushed open, and Loila instinctively flinched.
"Hello, have you seen my friend?" The girl with brown hair pushed open the door. Her hair was fluffy and even a little messy, but her school uniform was worn very neatly.
"Huh?" Loila, who hadn't heard clearly, paused for a moment and looked at the uninvited guest with some nervousness.
"Have you seen my two friends?" The girl sighed and repeated helplessly, "One has red hair... and the other is wearing glasses... oh, the other one is Harry Potter."
Harry Potter?
Loila glanced instinctively at the newspaper on her desk.
"Not a newspaper, I'm talking about the real Harry Potter." The girl sighed, seemingly realizing she wouldn't get any useful information from Loyla.
So she shook her head and prepared to leave, but just as she turned her head away, she seemed to remember something and turned her head back.
"Um...we're almost at Hogwarts, you'd better change into your robes." She pointed to her robes and added, "Also, you'd better not wear a mask."
"Hagrid might not be able to find you."
"Hmm." Loila pursed her lips, watching the "helpful" girl leave.
She seems to be treating herself like a student?
But I'm a teacher! And Hogwarts is still quite far away... Didn't the train just start moving?
Loila couldn't help but sigh... Maybe she should discuss with Dumbledore about getting the professor a special uniform?
It wouldn't be good if other professors were also mistaken for students... Ah, Professor Snape shouldn't be mistaken for a student.
The thought of that gloomy face made Loila shudder.
Snape had replaced Dumbledore and Lady Vida as the primary source of her nightmares, but unfortunately, Loira still couldn't avoid contact with him after arriving at Hogwarts.
Besides the wolfsbane medicine from Mr. Lupin, she also needed to discuss potion-making with Professor Snape.
He seems to be very good at alchemy... Perhaps he can help me a lot in alchemy, after all, I have already ruined a bottle of wolfsbane potion.
Last night, Loila tried to make her first bottle of wolfsbane medicine... but it went wrong because she didn't stir it two turns less after adding the wolfsbane and aconite. The potency of the finished medicine will definitely be weakened.
I'm going to cause trouble for others again... I was so confident when I made that promise to Mr. Lupin.
Just as Loila was feeling a little afraid of the future, two people slowly walked past outside the carriage.
"Luna, there's only one person here, shall we sit here?" It was a girl with an Asian face, who was looking at Miss Lovegood, who had light blonde hair and a fleeting gaze, standing behind her.
"Here?" Luna peeked out slightly and blinked after seeing the people inside.
"There seem to be signs of harassment here. Shall we go somewhere else?" Luna tilted her head and smiled.
"Harassment Mang?" another girl asked, somewhat confused. "What's that?"
"Ah...it's a kind of invisible..."
The two voices faded into the distance and eventually disappeared from the carriage.
Soon, the sky darkened, and the train seemed to have reached its destination.
As she watched the students walk past her carriage, Loila breathed a soft sigh of relief... She was lucky; no one was sharing a seat with her.
I didn't experience an awkward conversation that started with, "Oh, hello, I'm Loila Hamilton, your professor."
After all the students had disembarked, Loila slowly stepped off the train.
As soon as Loila stepped off the train, she saw Hagrid not far away.
"Miss Hamilton! Over here!" His gruff voice immediately drew everyone's attention, and for a moment, all the students on the platform turned to look at Loira.
No… Loila felt so embarrassed by all those stares that she wanted to shrink into a corner. Luckily, she could still hold onto the lamppost… otherwise, she might have become the first Hogwarts professor to faint in front of her students.
Well, Loila didn't know that someone had already taken first place last semester.
"Miss Hamilton?" Hagrid saw Loila standing still and assumed she hadn't heard him, so he raised his voice again.
I...I heard you! Don't do this...Now everyone on the platform is looking over!
Loila bit her lip awkwardly, forcing her stiff legs to walk towards Hagrid, as if she were heading not towards Hogwarts, but towards hell.
When the students saw her wearing a mask and remaining silent, they instinctively made way for her.
"I thought you were asleep in the car." Hagrid gave a hearty laugh, unaware that he had just put Miss Hamilton through a life-or-death crisis no less than a duel with Dumbledore.
Loila instinctively wanted to greet Hagrid, but then she thought about all the students around her... well, never mind!
So she simply nodded, then stood behind Hagrid and held onto the lamppost for a few seconds to catch her breath.
Soon the student group began to move, while Hagrid continued to introduce Hogwarts to Loila, seemingly unaware that Loila had already been there once.
Loila didn't say a word, after all, there were hundreds of eyes behind her, and every word she said would be heard clearly.
So she simply listened, occasionally nodding in response to Hagrid, and praying in her heart that Hagrid would stop talking to her.
However, as they approached the lake, Hagrid, who had noticed Loira's continued silence, seemed to finally realize something and whispered, "I'm sorry, Miss Hamilton."
Have you finally realized that I'm actually a useless socially anxious person?
Loila was subconsciously a little touched.
"Should I not have said your name directly?" Hagrid said, scratching his head. "Introducing a new professor should be Professor Dumbledore's job."
That's not why I'm silent!
