Chapter 378 Aur vs Nina (Traumatized)

Chapter 378 Aur vs Nina (Traumatized)

"Aur, you are really not going to respond to me?"

Nina asked with narrowed eyes. The surrounding mana grew turbulent as if she would attack Aur at the next moment without mercy.

"Hmm."

Aur seemed to finally stop his movement; his blood and Qi slowly returned to calm as he turned towards Nina with a steady gaze.

"Oh, you naive little redhead."

"What do you mean, Aur?" Nina asked with a frown, but she remembered the words of the spirit, which made her immediately pause.

"We have to fight, Aur."

"I see."

Aur nodded his head with a calm expression. "Are we going back to our previous days when we fought against each other?"

He spoke with a small smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

"It doesn't matter," Nina said, shaking her head as her expression became colder. "If we are talking about our fight, then I won that..."

"Of course you did," Aur replied with a chuckle. "You have a Tier One Defence Artefact, which made all my attacks practically useless."

"Just like now."

Nina's body slowly started to burn in a fiery blaze that enveloped her entire form, with only a faint shadow remaining visible.

"Tier Three: Fire Body."

She shot forward as a large blue fireball appeared in front of her.

"Tier Three Killer Move: Hell Fire."

The moment the blue fire materialised, the entire surroundings distorted, and a chill crept down Aur's spine.

Aur hurriedly used all the blood and Qi in his body to burst forth with all his strength. His veiny arms bulged with power as he faced the blue flames head-on.

"Fool."

Nina smirked the moment Aur took the blue ball of flame directly.

As Aur met the blue fireball head-on, dust rose from the sheer collision, completely engulfing the area.

Cough! Cough!

Aur looked at his fist with a disappointed expression.

"Are you wearing a Tier Four defence artefact?" he mumbled.

If it were a Tier Three defence artefact, Aur would have definitely broken it; however, he could distinctly feel that his punch was absorbed, with not even one-hundredth of his strength hitting her.

"Nina, do you know that I let you win when we were fighting just before you left for the Academy?"

Aur silently walked up to her. Nina was still violently coughing up blood while kneeling down.

Her pupils quivered as if she was still in disbelief.

"You allowed me to defeat you? What a joke!" Nina smirked as she slightly recovered.

"It's true. Your speed could never match up to mine, even if you had a Tier One defence artefact. I would have exhausted you to death before swiftly finishing you off." Aur spoke in a low whisper.

"But what was the point of defeating you? Instead, I got paid more for Magic Crystals for satisfying your meaningless ego."

"How can you be so strong?" Nina asked with a trembling voice.

"It's because of my body," Aur spoke honestly while gazing deeply at her. His large hands slowly extended forward with a hint of vigilance.

Without even touching her, the blue flames surrounding Aur slightly burned her neck with a sizzling sound.

However, the Tier Four defence artefact seemed to protect her from taking too much damage, as the blue flames could only cause a minor burn.

Then Aur caught her by the neck, lifting Nina off the ground to his eye level.

Nina looked at him with eyes full of horror and despair, staring into the deep crimson eyes that seemed to contain the blazing fury of hell itself.

"Goodbye."

Aur spoke quickly, wanting to snap her neck in one swift motion.

However, the Tier Four defence artefact in her body suddenly activated, and a flow of electricity enveloped Nina.

This electricity was so terrifying that even Aur's large, massive hands were burned. Then the electricity travelled from his hand to his entire body, electrocuting all his organs in one go.

Ahhh—

Aur roared in pain, but his grip on Nina's neck didn't falter.

"Die!" he shouted loudly while increasing the force.
