C26 – A Stupendous Sum of Money
With a substantial amount of money in his pocket, Jiang Hao embarked on his journey home, a mix of exhilaration and anxiety surging within him. He fretted over the entanglement of various emotions, the complexity of it all palpable.
In Jiang Hao’s view, nine million was an astronomical sum!
He had never envisioned a day where he would possess such wealth.
As he stood before his door, Jiang Hao reined in the bubbling excitement within him.

“You don’t have a fever! Why are you talking nonsense?”
Jiang Hao started to doubt his life because of his mother’s actions.
“Is my words so unrealistic?”
However, Jiang Hao mused, putting himself in their shoes, he likely wouldn’t believe it either, would he?
Just then, Jiang’s father wheeled the cart out, a playful smile gracing his lips.
“If you truly possessed nine million, we wouldn’t use it either. We’d save it for your wedding day in the future!
“Getting hitched nowadays isn’t a simple feat! To take a bride, you need to possess a swanky apartment. Generally, it’s priced over a million, and the top-notch ones, several million.
Then there’s the car you need to have, which runs a few hundred thousand. And the bridal gifts, that’s another few hundred thousand. With all this, I’ll consent to your marriage!”

“So, you should keep the nine million by yourself!”
