C77 – Uncontrollable Car

Jiang Hao wasn’t inclined to share more, and she felt it wasn’t her place to pry.

After a brief conversation, they went their separate ways.

Meanwhile, in a villa at the heart of Tianhee City, Soong Wanzhong was examining a jade Buddha in his hands. Behind him, Uncle Hai was delivering a report.

Suddenly, Soong Wanzhong appeared taken aback.

“Old Zhao, are you telling me Qin Ming got played?”

Uncle Hai, whose real name was Zhao Hai, responded with due respect.

“Yes, boss. It happened just an hour ago.”

Soong Wanzhong paused, deep in thought.

“Poor Qin Ming, he’s really hit a streak of bad luck.”

“But who could he have possibly crossed this time?”

With a shake of his head, he dismissed the matter.

Qin Ming was too insignificant to warrant his continued attention.

After a brief silence, Soong Wanzhong spoke up once more.

“Uncle Zhao, do you think Jiang Hao might be involved in this?”

The question caught Uncle Hai off guard, but after a moment’s contemplation, he replied.

“Oh!”

“Alright then, go on with your work!”

“Sure, Dad. Take care of yourself over at Tong Tong’s, okay?”

“Mhm!”

After the Old Master Tian hung up the phone, a smile crept onto his face.

“With a Grandmaster sculptor as a mentor and his own remarkable medical skills, not to mention his ties to such an impressive hacker, he truly is an enigmatic young man!”

Yet, Jiang Hao was oblivious to the two elders’ keen interest in him.

After school that afternoon, Jiang Hao gathered his belongings and slung his backpack over his shoulder, ready to head home.

Having toppled Qin Ming, and with no more pressure from that mountain of a man, he felt a return to his old self.

While he was lost in thought about his future as he walked along the street, his body suddenly tensed, as if his head had been pricked by a needle!

An abrasive screeching of tires and the sound of a collision abruptly erupted from behind him!

Instinctively, he whipped his head around and saw a small car that seemed to be out of control, barreling towards him!

Jiang Hao’s face went pale as his mind raced and his danger perception kicked in. In an instant, he stepped to the side, narrowly dodging to the right.

But the car still came crashing towards him. Despite Jiang Hao’s swift reaction, he was clipped by the car and sent flying.

The runaway vehicle then slammed into the nearby guardrail, shattering it and leaving the front of the car crumpled.
