Chapter 451 Regrouping of the Elite
Chapter 451 Regrouping of the Elite
As Elithira held her sister, she scanned the room, her eyes filled with determination. "Whoever it was, we will need to figure it out. I suppose it makes sense that Erebos has more allies over time."
Sanguina leaned against a table, the cross in her hand beginning to glow with an eerie light. "I suppose. It doesn't help that each universe runs on its own clock and time system, so he could be using his time very wisely."
Elithira's brow furrowed with worry. "Above all else, we need to figure out where he is. And why did your sister say those things about wanting to be put out of her misery?"
"Oh, I wouldn't take that too seriously," Elithira replied, shaking her head slightly. "She's really just a big baby, and the smallest scratches send her into depression. That's why she left when she did, to avoid confrontation."
Elithira's grip tightened in anger, her knuckles whitening. "Which is what pisses me off even more."
As she finished speaking, their bodies began to glow brightly. Within moments, they found themselves back in the Demon King's Castle, standing in the grand throne room. Elithira carried her sister, her eyes immediately drawn to her father seated on the throne, engaged in a serious discussion with four or five guards clad in gold armor.
Elithira smirked, her confusion giving way to satisfaction as she saw Ziues's head impaled on a pike. His closed eyelids and the dried blood around the staff next to her father's chair stood as a stark reminder of his defeat.
"Serves him right," she muttered, approaching with Sanguina trailing slightly behind her.
The Demon King noticed her approach and gestured his hand across his chest. The five men bowed deeply. "Yes, sir. We will begin preparations and get the elite guards ready for dispatch," they said in unison before leaving the room.
As they exited, the Demon King shifted from his enlarged form, shrinking down to his mortal size, now clad in a black suit and red tie. The air around him seemed to thrum with suppressed power.
The Demon King caught it with a quick, practiced hand before taking a look. Smirking, he stated, "You know, you should have brought this up first and foremost before I started spilling my guts like a depressed pup."
Elithira smirked in return as the Demon King glanced at Sanguina and asked, "And what is this woman doing with you? If I recall, you are the daughter of the Vampire King, yes?"
Sanguina nodded. "I was down on the planet searching for a way to find Ty before you all," she replied in a pouty way.
The Demon King sighed, rubbing his temples. "I see. I should have kept a closer eye on the unfolding events down there. I trust the Vampire King's intentions weren't all bad, though. How did you know about Ty's skeleton finger?"
"Oh, I didn't," Sanguina admitted. "It was Lady Nanako who mentioned that she dropped her fairy with him as he was taken away."
"A fairy? Where did she get a fairy class from?" The Demon King's brow furrowed in confusion.
"She said the fairy emerged when she confessed her love to Ty one of the nights while they were down there," Elithira explained.
The Demon King smirked slightly and muttered, "So she did take my advice a bit, huh?" Before shaking his head, he added, "That doesn't sound right, though. That planet does not produce fairy classes."
"Yeah, I figured that out when she took me to the base where she met him and discovered the fairy was likely a cursed being," Sanguina said.
The Demon King tilted his head, his expression puzzled. "That still doesn't make sense. Cursed beings are actually people who succumbed to dark emotions."
