Chapter 564 John Showcase

Chapter 564 John Showcase

Ty's eyes narrowed as he sized the man up, noting the sheer size and confidence radiating from him. But there was something off—a strange arrogance that came with his words.

"My team was too slow, too fragile, too weak," Tui Lang continued, pounding his chest with a massive fist. "They got decimated by some dark-skinned loser earlier." He sneered as if recalling the moment with disgust. "Naturally, I had to retreat—there were too many of them. But now that I've restored myself, I'm ready to complete my mission."

Tui Lang's eyes gleamed as he locked onto John, pointing a thick, meaty finger directly at him. "Whichever one of you is named John, step forward and accept your death. I will fight you, one on one!"

The air around them seemed to still as Tui Lang's words hung heavy in the space between them. Ty took a step forward, his stance firm, but his eyes focused.

"You'll have to go through me first," Ty said, his voice calm but laced with cold steel.

But Tui Lang only laughed, louder this time, his massive shoulders shaking with the force of it. "You think you stand a chance?" he taunted, his voice booming like thunder through the trees. "One of you will die today. Which one of you will it be?"

Ty gritted his teeth slightly, narrowing his eyes as he stared down the towering man. I can probably take him down with a few tries, he thought to himself, but not knowing what his skills are is a goddamn headache. He could have something ridiculous—being intangible, or some other random nonsense. I can't afford to risk it.

As if on cue, the voice inside his head slithered back to life, its tone dripping with dark amusement. Just use the sword, it whispered, pressing against the edges of Ty's mind. I'm sure he'll give you a reason to. You'd like to see what it can do, wouldn't you? It'd be really useful to me once I get your body. I'd love to know what it does before that happens.@@@@

Before anyone could respond, Tui Lang stomped the ground with such force that the earth cracked beneath him. In an instant, he lunged toward John, his enormous fist raised, ready to crush.

Ty tensed, instinctively stepping forward, but John shot him a glance. "Stay back," John ordered. He moved smoothly, focusing on Tui Lang's incoming strike. The massive fist came toward him like a freight train, the air rippling with its force.

John's eyes sharpened, his mind locking onto Tui Lang's attack. Block. Counter. Redirect. He raised his arms, ready to catch the blow. But something was wrong—the fist hit sooner than expected, a field of energy shimmering around it.

The impact was enormous, and John barely managed to deflect it before the force threw him backward. He skidded across the dirt, rolling to a stop about twenty feet away. Dropping to one knee, he winced, clutching his side. That was bad... John thought, gritting his teeth. That broke two ribs... but I made contact.

He took a deep breath, his mind racing. Now I've got you. As his Mind's Eye skill activated, John tapped into Tui Lang's thoughts, sifting through the surface of his consciousness. Tui Lang's voice echoed in his head, arrogant and self-assured.

"You can't even keep up with me. You're broken—busted ankle, busted ribs. And now? Probably a busted brain too," Tui Lang's thoughts sneered. "Just so you know, my skills are instant regeneration. Instant bone regeneration.

And I have a one-hit kill as my final ability. But it's not like you'll ever touch me."

John's lips curled into a small smirk as he sifted deeper through Tui Lang's mind, reading more of the warrior's thoughts. "One-hit kill, huh?" John mused to himself. "That doesn't mean anything if you can't hit me. Plus, that iron body of yours... interesting."

He delved further, stealing more details. Tui Lang's Blood Iron Body pulsed through his veins, reinforcing his muscles and bones like steel. He thinks I can't land a blow, John realized. And his Force Dominion... Tui Lang's thoughts revealed his ability to manipulate and redirect kinetic energy, protecting himself with a near-invincible force field.
