After Transmigrating Into the Book, Prime Minister Made My Legs Weak

Chapter 37

Chapter 37

“So, during the days I wasn’t around, you went to watch Jiang Bei and Li Chongyang’s martial trials?” Wen Jian suddenly found his bowl of noodles unappetizing. His face sank, and his tone became somewhat gloomy.

Ji Sang had been waiting for him since the morning, and he only came out in the afternoon. She hadn’t even had lunch, and now she was starving, fully focused on slurping her noodles, oblivious to Wen Jian’s change in tone. With her mouth full of noodles, she mumbled, “Mhm.”

Wen Jian looked at Ji Sang, feeling somewhat at a loss. There was a heavy stone blocking his chest.

“But it wasn’t just to watch them. I also wandered around Beiliang City. I was actually looking for a paper workshop, but... there wasn’t any.” Ji Sang casually remarked.

Hearing her words, Wen Jian seemed to feel slightly better. He muttered a subdued “Oh” and continued eating his noodles.

As they were nearing the end of their meal, Ji Sang took out a piece of dried fruit from her bag. “By the way, Wen Jian, I have something good for you to eat. I kept it specifically for you.”

“What is it?”@@@@

“It should be dried loquat, quite sweet.” Ji Sang said as she picked up a piece with her fingertips and put it in his mouth. However, she misjudged the strength and accidentally touched the man’s tongue. He had just eaten the noodles, so his tongue was still hot. When he took the dried fruit into his mouth, his tongue unconsciously licked her finger in a circle.

Uh...

Ji Sang was burned and quickly withdrew her hand.

Wen Jian was also a bit surprised. The pent-up mood dissipated by a large extent, and his dark eyes dimmed as he gave her a deep look.

If they were alone, he would have kissed her fiercely several times.

The dried fruit was slightly bittersweet, and he casually chewed it a couple of times before swallowing. Then he said, “Where did you buy it? I’ll go buy some to bring back later.”

“I don’t know where it was bought. Li Zhongyang bought it. But, I invited them to have dinner.”

Wen Jian: “...”

He took a few deep breaths inwardly and asked, “Is there anything else?”

“Do you want more?”

With a seemingly emotionless “Mhm,” Wen Jian gripped the chopsticks so tightly that they were almost breaking.

Ji Sang handed the bag to him. “That’s all.”

Wen Jian glanced at it and then threw it aside. “It doesn’t taste good at all. If you like it, your husband will buy it for you.”

“Ahh—”

A pang of pain came from her breast, and Ji Sang’s slightly open eyelashes trembled. Her dark eyes met his deep obsidian gaze, profound as the sea, as if soaked in ink, each glance threatening to pull her into him.

“No distractions while I’m doing things.” His voice was hoarse, tinged with anger, and his lips were dangerously close to her face, his warm breath blowing against her skin.

Their gazes locked in an intense and sticky stare.

Her lips felt tingly and she thought her head would be swollen in the morning, but once she understood why he suddenly became so impatient, her mood brightened in an instant. A clear hint of laughter resonated within her chest.

“What are you laughing at?”

Wen Jian was already furious about the dried loquat, and hearing her laughter made his obsidian eyes even more captivating. It seemed as though he could see through everything, and his heart felt as if it were crawling with tens of thousands of ants, scratching and tormenting him.

But Ji Sang continued to smile.

Enraged, Wen Jian lowered his head and pressed his lips against hers, his sharp teeth punishingly biting her. Ji Sang cried out in pain and pushed him away, saying, “Wen Jian, that’s enough... you’ve hurt me.”

“Hmm? Where does it hurt? Let me see.”

Wen Jian intentionally held her chin and kissed her left side, then kissed her right side, and with each kiss, he said, “Is it here?”

Finally, he gently traced her lips with his fingertip and his gaze became extremely focused. “Ji Sang.”

“From now on, only eat things bought by your husband, alright?”

Ji Sang blinked her dark eyes. “Then... then next time you get jealous, don’t bite me so hard, okay?”

Wen Jian’s eyebrows furrowed, and he pressed down on her waist and abdomen, using force. His hands scratched her body as he said, “Hmm? There will be a next time?!”

Ji Sang couldn’t bear the ticklish sensation and laughed until tears streamed down her face. She exclaimed, “Ah... ah... husband, I was just teasing you...”

“Then tell me, did you miss me even just a little bit these past few days?” Wen Jian’s thin lips seemed ready to descend, his gaze deeply fixed on her. It was as if he was implying that if she couldn’t say what he wanted to hear, he would bite her again.

Ji Sang lifted her face to look at him.

Even though they had been married for quite some time, she had no self-confidence whatsoever.

She extended her finger and made a gesture, indicating, “A little bit... more than a little bit.”
