Expedition Preparations
“Meg-chan, come over here. We need to have you try it on and make some adjustments.”
Ran-chan, perhaps thinking that it would be bad to leave me alone with my thoughts, dragged me to the fitting room in the back of the shop. Kei-san decided to tag along, figuring that it would be inappropriate for me to change in front of Gil-san. Well, even though I did have a toddler tummy!
“Here it is! I went with shorts, so you can move around easily. Having your legs exposed would be a safety hazard, so I paired them with knee-high socks and boots. The moment we arrived at the fitting room, Ran-chan showed me my combat attire, then, even though I hadn’t asked, started explaining. The base design was camouflage with a hint of pale pink, so cute. The knee-high socks were dark green, and the boots an even darker green. And she’d even prepared a matching hat!
I quickly tried it on, and it was incredibly comfortable! It felt so light, like feathers, but I also felt protected, it was strange. Like I was being enveloped in magic power. It even had temperature control, so unless it was extremely hot or cold, I wouldn’t feel either, apparently.
“Okay. That’s all the adjustments we need! You have your bracelet on, right? Then try releasing your magic power, as if you’re enveloping the outfit.”
“We’re registering Meg-chan’s magic power. You did the same thing with the bracelet, remember? That way, the outfit will automatically adjust to your size as you grow.”
This technology is incredible! I’d made up my mind not to be surprised anymore, but I’d been taken by surprise yet again!

Ran-chan’s amazing, readily accepting the request even though they were so busy! Well, it was her job, and being busy was a good thing, I guess!
Relieved that it was okay, Maryla-san and I couldn’t help but cheer. We’d actually already decided what we wanted. Ufufu, I couldn’t wait to see the finished product.
We immediately started talking about the colors, the size, the fabric. That’s good too, and so’s that! It was fun, this girl talk about stuffed animals! Kei-san and Ran-chan are also girls.
