Chapter 1459 Last Spell
Chapter 1459 Last Spell
How can one fix the world?
Neron thought about this after arriving at his proposed solution to save his world from utter destruction.
He had traveled through the Branches of Aether, visiting the most absurd and beautiful places to ever exist.
He had also experienced every facet of his own world's timeline—from start to finish.
He had seen it all.
However, through all of this, Neron noticed a common trend.
"This world is broken... it's imperfect."
Tragedies happened every day.
People suffered, they died, they killed, they were killed.
The world existed and was sustained on an endless cycle of violence and chaos, even in the Aether Tree.
It was inevitable
Even if he managed to save his world from imminent destruction, he wouldn't be able to stop the intrinsic flaw that existed in reality.
Aether... Nether... they were still flawed.
Imperfect.
"How can I change that?"
The answer almost took an eternity to figure out. However, once Neron got a grasp of the solution, he finally found his salvation.
And once he did, Neron put his new plans to motion: The Reincarnation of a certain magic scholar.
The story of Jared Leonard... and the conclusion that finally saved the world from its seemingly inevitable end.
However, that was only half of the story.
What about after?
What were Neron's plans once the Nether was defeated and the world finally recieved a stable sense of security?
Well...
... Only Neron could answer that.
*******
"Huu..."
With a heavy sigh, Neron heard his voice echo in the silence of the blank hall.
"It's finally done."
As Neron said this, he sat beside the gnarled throne of his old friend, Legris nowhere to be seen at all.
He was gone now—forever.
"With this, I can fulfill my end of the deal with that Old Man." Neron chuckled, remembering a certain variant of his.

The task of extracting the Essence of Limbo and providing it to Crazy Neron as the final component he desired for his own goals...
He had to be better.
And so, he arrived at a compromise: A way to solve this problem once and for all.
"I will make it so that evil acts are impossible tasks that can never be achieved."
Even if he couldn't stop someone from thinking an evil thought or wishing evil upon another, he could prevent such acts from being performed.
"Men can not fly, so they use Magic to do so. However, Magic only adds an external power that assists them in their inability to perform the task. Hence, if I make men incapable of evil, and limit Magic to prevent it from ever being used for evil... then I can create a world where no evil can ever occur."
There were a few loopholes that could be created, even with this foolproof plan, but Neron already anticipated all of them.
"Perhaps there will be more that I can't anticipate, which is why I must create a perfect algorithm that will address these issues as they arise."
And by perfect algorithm... Neron meant himself.
'I'll follow Jared's lead and create a duplicate of myself, utilising all of my memories and collective abilities but retract the Soul from it, so it remains a lifeless machine that will be in charge of governing these things."
Neron knew that these Trees originated from [All Thing], which was brought about by an existence known as The Crafter.
If The Crafter had been more mindful towards his work, he would have stayed behind to govern the rules and create this perfect world that Neron was now trying to bring to life.
"A Mage is doing your work for you, Crafter." Neron smiled to himself.
He didn't mind, though.
After all, with his sacrifice and his collating efforts, he would finally be able to prevent any more person from ever experiencing injustice or suffering for the rest of their lives.
For all of eternity.
"Well... maybe for one final run, I can let Jared have a little fun with a certain Calamity that he couldn't fully resolve with Neron Alter."
However, the rest of the Branches and Trees... and All Things... would now be able to rest assured and enjoy perfect peace.
That was Neron's destiny.
And so, as he completed his equations and finished his calculations, Neron closed his eyes and breathed into the world.
Then, with a single word, he brought his vision to reality.
Neron cast the Last Spell.
